I was married in college to a great guy. I was immature though and I left him. Now, I want him back for good. He's ben seeing a girl who has lately developed seizures. He told me he doesn't love her. He feels obligated to be with her. We've always stayed in contact. We share many, many interests. He told me some time ago, that he will think about it. What are my chances???

read this passage.

Quran (55) surah ar-Rahman:
"(37).When the sky is torn apart, so it was (like) a red rose, like ointment (38).Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?"

then click at this link: http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/imagegallery/image_feature_741.html

the phrase "when the sky is torn apart" means a dying star. doesnt that nebula looked like a red rose? there are plenty more evidences about the truth of islam but this one just recently happened.

do you still doubt the truth of islam? if scientifical evidence doesnt convince you then nothing will convince you.

may God/Allah swt open your heart to the truth.

I've seen variations of that idea here, and this bit at atheism.about.com just reminded me of it.

http://atheism.about.com/od/atheismmyths/p/RebellionPride.htm

Atheists, are you rebelling against something? Non-atheists, do you believe this?

Also, would this apply for atheists who are second (or third or fourth) generation and atheists who grew up in non-theistic environments like China?

(AP) GALVESTON A mother is blaming the devil -- and not her husband -- for severely burning her infant daughter after the two-month-old was placed in a microwave.

Eva Marie Mauldin, the girl's mother, says Satan compelled her 19-year-old husband, Joshua Royce Mauldin, to microwave their daughter on May 10 because the devil disapproved of Joshua's efforts to become a preacher.

A Galveston County grand jury indicted Joshua Mauldin last week on child injury charges. The grand jury had heard evidence that he placed the infant in a motel microwave for 10 to 20 seconds.

The infant remains hospitalized. Police say she suffered burns on the left side of her face and to her left hand.

Eva Mauldin says her husband is not "the monster people are making him out to be."

Eva Mauldin is hoping to be reunited with her daughter, but Child Protective Services is working to have her and her husband's parental rights severed.

A custody hearing for the infant is scheduled for later this week in a Gal

...to wear T-shirts saying other students are shameful or going to hell?

This is what conservative Christian students in Sacramento have been doing for weeks, wearing T-shirts saying that homosexuality is against God to school. The principal, also Christian, is suspending these students. There have been demonstrations against him and his decision by other Christians in the community.

http://www.sacbee.com/religion/v-print/story/171284.html

Should the Christian kids be allowed to wear T-shirts with Bible verses against homosexuality (for example) on them to school? Or is the principal right to suspend them?

Opinions, please....

15 years ago, late at night, I was in a semi-awake state and I suddenly felt as if a type of "spirit" was in my room.... circulating closer and closer around me. All this happened in, say, 15 seconds.

It entered into my head, went deep into my soul and started asking questions, probing, asking difficult questions about my faith - and I knew this spirit was not the Devil, or Evil, but an "agent" of the Devil, and he was seeking partners, accomplices, agents to work for the Devil - and the questions got so fast, so quick - questions about faith, and Jesus and all of that rigamarole (I am no strong believer in Christianity, believe me, but I do have a strong faith in God) until the questions got so bad, I had to force my "self" to shout over his questions, "...and, I DO believe in God!!" And very quickly, he/it left - boom!! I suppose he continued on his way, and I've never been bothered by things like this again.

Have you had something like this happen? Long answers preferred.

I really don't see the proof of evolution . Find me a a species of animal that's in mid evolutionary state .... Or an old picture of one , or one of those discovery channel people that put specials together about how bones from an older species correlate to the another that evolutionized from it ...You can't , because in my opinion that was just another species that's extinct . Same goes for Humans , why do they have to be connected . Did Cro -magnon really spin into homo-sapien or were they two differant species ?

Your child, brother, sister or whoever could/would NOT come to you because they knew you do not/will not accept their homosexuality and they knew your reply to them would be, " pray to God he will show you the way" or "I will pray that you will find the 'straight/right path" or any other answer that you may give that shows your lack of acceptance, would you reconsider what you say if you knew that this person would consider/commit suicide because they felt that your love was conditional, or they would pack their bags and leave your life forever? I'm not asking would you change your moral views, I am asking: Are you capable of unconditional love?, without any quotes/preaching from the bible, or would your friends/congregation's opinions/pressure wear you down? I know for a lot of you this is a hypothetical question but please take a moment to think about it.......One day it could be a reality....

First off, why do Christians automatically assume:
a. All atheist/agnostics believe in science as the ultimate truth

b. Atheist assume that they know how/why we are here.

Why are Christians so concerned about how we got here?
Why can't Christians just live there life instead trying to prove themselves to something they're told to have faith in because "it" hasn't been proven to exist? What about other religions? What about their gods? Are their gods real too? Are they going to h*ll for not believing in your god? Are they lost souls? What if they said the same for you? Do you feel that you're religion is better so you're right? Do I have to pray to find $100 dollars? What if I found it without praying, did somebody pray for me? Would I have found it without praying?

Because Christians live by the bible which outlines what is considered to be sinful and therefore castigates those who are sinners, does this not make them inhumane?
Humane: characterized by tenderness, compassion, and sympathy for people esp. for the suffering or distressed
