The Dangers of Religion

Not only do religious people waste their time in devotion to cruel and non-existing gods, they also represent a dangerous system of thought.

The dangers come from the fact that religion can make people absolutely certain that they are in possession of divine and infallible truth, and that this allows them to do whatever they like to anyone who doesn’t do what their interpretation of the religion demands. As Voltaire succinctly put it: “Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.”

History has shown us one example after another of the atrocities of religion. The Christian crusades led to numerous wars and the massacre of hundreds of thousands of innocent people. The witch trials exemplify how badly the juridical system can be perverted by religion, and tens of thousands of people were executed without any possibility of defending themselves against the baseless accusations, and many were tortured during their trials.

Today we see how religious fanatics blow themselves and innocent children up, and fill their pockets with nails, so that the explosions can maim even more people.

Furthermore religion have time and again been used to oppress people and force them to abide by dehumanizing rules, and it stops free thought dead in its tracks, which makes it even easier to prevent people from improving their lot and question their dictators.

All of these things make me so angry, that I struggle to put it into words. How dare such people presume to make themselves lords of their neighbours, based on a book filled with blessings of violence, rape and war written by primitive people millennia ago?

Religion can also be physically dangerous to the believers. Blood transfusions, for example, are not allowed by some religions and some, such as the members of the Christian sect called Christian Science, turn to prayer instead of doctors and medicine.

Furthermore religion can also give people reasons for not helping others. The Karmic Law for instance basically leads to the conclusion, that if you have an illness or is born with a defect, then it’s your own fault – and is caused by something you did in this or another life. This is, in my opinion, a detestable point of view.

The single purpose of earthly life is to choose where we wish to spend eternity. Apart from that purpose, a human life has no more purpose than a squirrel's life, since apart from our unique relationship with God we would just be another animal species.

Religion isn't a purpose, it's a way of life.

This life has no defined purpose. It's all relative. What purpose does a tree serve? Shade? To bear fruit and nuts? What do you think your purpose is here? Are we here to maintain a balance? Perhaps we have no purpose.

Again... it's all relative.

once you refer to any faith they are going to all say that Jesus is genuine and that he excisted. despite if, some say he became a instructor and others a prophet. The bible says he's the Son of God and that's basically by way of Him that adult men could be saved. To teach God you're able to first teach or disprove his notice. it is why Christianity is the genuine faith. no one has been in a position to disprove Gods notice. Infact - The greater us human beings progression the greater we could continually settle for His notice as certainty. All prophecies interior the bible have come to bypass different than Jesus return. there is completely one God. there is completely one thank you to heaven and that's thru Jesus Christ. you're able to make up your guy or woman thoughts. i ask your self however in case you extremely desire to discover the reality!

There is no purpose for our life apart from the purpose God has for us which is "to love Him, to serve Him and to be happy forever in Heaven with Him."

If you want answers....gaze upon and meditate on the image of Christ hanging upon the cross for mankind.

Viva Christo Rey!

The ultimate and divine purpose of our lives is to become gods in the coming Kingdom (govt) of GOD. Or men are in the process of being created as gods through the imperfections of this world under the divine plan. Today, we are on earth for the purpose of comparativeness between this world under the kingdom of the beast (under sway of satan) and the coming kingdom of heaven and later the kingdom of GOD.

The kingdom of heaven will come first in the year 3500 and will be when the LORD JESUS CHRIST will come again and rule together with HIS kings the whole universe whose planets and moons will be remade into garden of eden under the KIng of KIngs and Lord of Lords. This will be the habitation of the angel-like men who will be born in the spirit becoming angel-like after they will be resurrected from the dead in the year 4500. Thus, after 1,000 years, the whole universe will be made into a universal church where the LORD JESUS CHRIST will become the HIGH PRIEST IN THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK and will pastor the whole universal church together with HIS saints. In the kingdom of heaven. In comparison to this earthbound life of men, the money there will be like a gift certficate called GRACE and you can buy anything without money and the supply as Prophet Isaiah described will be like a flooding stream. There no one will say I am ill. And the angel-like men will reproduce their kind through the power of THE HOLY SPIRIT and the countless children born there will be called descendants of THE LORD. THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY AND THE LAMB-THE LORD JESUS CHRIST will rule as KIng of KIngs for 1,000 years and then pastor the whole universe with righteousness, lovingkindness and justice for 15 billion years. Over this period, the City Jerusalem will be a city of joy and rejoicing and her people a joy.

Later, after 15 billion years of the angel-like men in the garden of eden under the Kingdom of heaven, all the angel-like men will go on spiritual exodus led by THE LORD GOD -THE LAMB and Moses to the new earth and the new heaven which will come down from its present location which is in celestial heaven, an upper dimension, to our space to replace the then old earth and old heaven. Its center is the CITY OF GOD made of precious stones and its ground made of pure gold like glass. In the kingdom of GOD, the angel like men will be born of GOD this time and become gods. And the gods and each god who will be countless in number, will rule from above an infinite kingdom created by THE LORD GOD for new men in an unending process of creation. That is why these unending generations of men that will be created by THE LORD GOD in infinite nimber of universes will never end and HIS SALVATION also will never end and HIS righteousness will last forever. But the men today though imperfect are tjhe 1stfruits of the creation of THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY AND TO THE LAMB-THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. Thus, all thanksgiving belong to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY AND TO THE LAMB.

To each his/her own. To live life as each of us see fit for ourselves, never forcing our ways upon others.

The answer you seek: to simply live. That is the purpose of life......to live.

Some live to serve an diety, some live to bring pleasure to themselves and the ones they love. Either way, they live.
