A recurring theme in Christianity is to blame minorities for their problems. During the plague era and the inquisitions (they occurred throughout Europe not just Spain.), Christians tortured thousands of Jews to death. When that didn't cure their woes, they started blaming women by accusing them of "witchcraft." Today, they blame homosexuals. The language each time throughout history is eerily the same, they blame not only the minority, usually for "the moral decay of society" (sound familiar? It's from the 11th century.) but also the "tolerance" of the said minority. So in short, yes it is inhumane.

I understand your concern about being inhumane to animals, but in 1 Timothy 4:3-5 shows that eating meat is good although there are some meats that are not to be eaten (Leviticus 11). It is everyone choice to become a vegan or someone who eat meat, sanctified meats. It is not inhumane to kill animals for food, it is a different thing when you kill an animal for food compared to killing an animal just for the fun or pleasure of it. For more information on this issue if you believe the words of the scriptures, read 1 Corinthians 8:8 :)

Christians are very humane, actually. In the New Testament we are taught how to live and how to relate to others. There are several good verses that I could use for an example, but here is my personal favorite:
But the fruit of the Spirit( that is, you will possess these things if you have the Spirit[Holy Spirit] living in you) is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-control. Galations 5:22
Some Christians may judge and critcize those who do wrong, but not all do. How can we castigate those who are sinners, when all of us are sinners!! I certianly do not have any right! In the bible it tells us not to judge, let me share another verse with you:
Each one should test his own actions. Galations 6:4
It also says "do not point out the speck in someone elses eye, when you have a plank in your own eye.
Yes, the bible does outline very well what is considered to be sinful. But that is not for us Christians to use against other people. That is so that we can keep ourselves in check. I know that there are some out there who judge and are not showing a very good example of Christianity. But, I cannot judge those either, I can only say that I think that they are misguided, or maybe they are baby Christians and have not grasp this concept yet of not judging. But, I feel like you cannot group ALL OF any one group together. We are all individuals.

I'd say for the most part Christianity is humane just as I'm sure
Islam can be. The problem comes from the interpretation some of thier leaders give to the writings and a monotheists
sheeplike obedience to thier leaders that causes them to do
some very inhumane things at times.

So, by simply pointing out that the Bible says something is a sin, we are accused of castigating sinners. Subject to severe punishment, reproof or critcism? How do we do that? Well, I guess it depends on what you consider severe. As Christians, we know we are sinners ourselves. Is that severe, too? Just because we call it like the Bible sees it?

all religions is a way for people to feel there is a reason for life, you also have cults which is another form of religion. personally i feel that half of the problems we see in our world today and in the past is biased on religion or they use religion as a reason. love is meant to be what religion is about excepting one another no matter what, people use to get killed if they didn't believe in a certain religion so to your answer, Christians are wrong to castigate those who they think are sinners and who are they to say who is a sinner

No, I don't. I think that people don't like it when the light is shined on their misdeeds and they get defensive.
The Christians I know are kind, tender and loving people who help others in need and they are not inhumane.
I am sorry if you have had bad experiences with people who weren't truly Christians as they claimed to be.

Hello, Mia:
I perceive you are somewhat antagonistic against religion, but societies have followed atheistic Marxism and fallen to great disaster.
Perhaps a study of the "reign of terror" will enlighten the horrors of a society without God. Or the corrupt Communist regimes that threatened our world with destruction for the past half-century.
No, Christianity teaches us to love one another, and if you do, you will want to offer them an eternity of peace; and many people laid down their lives so others may enjoy the blessings of a spiritual life here, and in the hereafter.
If you do not understand the Bible, I recommend you "break a Bible code" at www.revelado.org/revealed.htm. It will very accurately present the entire plan of redemption. You will see that people have misrepresented God to you.
Blessings and AGAPE love, One-Way

Inhumane? God gave each and every one of us the ability to make choices. In most worldly views christianity whould be considered inhumane because of the things that we do that can lead us to death ,(sin) that is stuff that seperates us from Gods will .spiritual, physical, mental, and relational things that kill us. If we choose not to conform to his will we will ultimately suffer the conciquences of what we want which doesnt conform to what he wants. The worldly view is if it feels good do it even if it isnt good for us. Most true christians have had a paradine shift in thinking brought of by what Jesus told Nicodemus is called BEING BORN AGAIN... W hich starts a life long change of being conformed into the example of how he shows us through the scriptures to live. Which can be directed by recieving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit the one who truely leads us to the truth of what God wants for us. Now mind you not all christians submit to Gods unchangeable truths infact some even distort the truth making it conform to worldly views. They dont want to change and in the end they will still suffer the conciquences. But they can change if they submit to Gods will and not their own. Then the Holy Spirit will show them another area that needs to be worked on in their life. We are Gods creation we were created for his pleasure not our own...We make the choices to be his pleasure by obeying him and the principals he layed down in the scriptures. Or meeting our own desires, lust, doing what we want.Even if it contradicts the plan he laid out for us in the scriptures OLD&NEW testiments of the bible. I admit Im not perfect yet by far but from what I understand. As long as im growing along spiritual lines its a life long process of being perfected.I pray that the Spirit of God gives you the disernment to under stand the difference between his conviction and the devils condemnation.
Dont conform to the world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind in Christ Jesus. Read more word and study it to get the best understanding possible dont just take another persons view its your spirit that matters. I'll see you on judgement day. I hope we both make it into Gods Kingdom. I hope I helped. In the worlds eyes Christianity is inhumane. But Not Me... I know it only as the best guide to spiritual progress so I will take up my own cross deny myself and follow Jesus' example. and hope i do it right.
So choose this day who you wil serve.
Yourself or him. Worldly views or his views.
Get Gods benifits or suffer the worldly conciquences. And make the devil happy.
Your Choice.....................................................................................

How do these thoughts and principles castigate anyone???
I think you may have a very different idea of Christianity than what I've seen and experienced as a Christian.
For me, being in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, I seek to please him. In doing so, I take on the mind of Jesus Christ. That means that when I want to please him, I want to learn how to be compassionate and caring for others.
