Not only back in the schools but back in the homes. Families are breaking down, if mom and dad don't start kids in prayer most kids will never pray.

I don't think you can put God anywhere. God is not a figure like a statue or a flag. This country was founded on religious freedom, and people who came here, were fleeing religious oppression. Separation of church and state is a critical part of our government for a reason. We can't possibly accommodate every ones religious beliefs, and any endorsement of one particular belief will oppress anothers belief. The problem with the school shootings can't be answered will prayer in school. This has to come from the home, from parents, and from society as a whole. Prayer is a personal choice and should not be included in public education. If you feel strongly about religion in school, perhaps you should look into one of the many religious private schools in your area.

Did anyone here hear about the Amish school shooting in Lancaster, PA? The Amish are by no means atheists and yet, look what still happened at their school.

If your God didn't allowed shootings to happen in schools, then I would argue that amish schools would be one of the safest. But yet, the shootings still happened.

So no, having public prayer/teaching in school is not what is needed. Religion or lack thereof has nothing to do with violence in schools.

God does not offer mortal protection to anyone. His divine insight is only helpful in the afterlife. Bringing god into school now wouldn't help fend off more shootings. It would only anger the atheist zealots and empower the bible thumpers.

No, because putting God back into schools would cause more conflict. It may not be school shootings or stuff like that, but parents who either don't believe in God or don't want their child exposed to God will have fits! Look at all the wars that have and still are occurring because of quarrels over religion.

Yes, if everyone would pray to the living almighty creator, God , the God of the Holy Bible, not allah or whoever(everyone always asks which God,To me there is only one), There wouldn't be all of these shootings or any other trouble. If everyone would love and serve God, there would be a lot less to debate. They should learn about God, talk about God and pray to God in the public schools.
My opinion!

I must ask, WHY DO YOU HATE AMERICA. YOU TERRORIST! YOU GOD LOVING TERRORIST! How dare you question the Constitution, without going through the tedious process of getting an amendment onto Congress and then have it voted on and might or might not getting vetoed. HOW DARE YOU! Why do you hate America so much? Don't you love America and what it stands for - the Separation of Church and State? Please stop hating America, it's been treating you nicely, don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Yes. There were no school shootings in the 40's and 50's when god was in school. so maybe we can learn a thing or two by going back to the way things use to be in America. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND AMERICA BLESS GOD!!!!

That question is so trite. He never left. People bring him. He is not banned from entering. IT's just that public prayer is not allowed. School violence has been around for decades
