I really don't see the proof of evolution . Find me a a species of animal that's in mid evolutionary state .... Or an old picture of one , or one of those discovery channel people that put specials together about how bones from an older species correlate to the another that evolutionized from it ...You can't , because in my opinion that was just another species that's extinct . Same goes for Humans , why do they have to be connected . Did Cro -magnon really spin into homo-sapien or were they two differant species ?

All animals, including humans, are in mid-evolutionary state. We are all gradually changing in response to mate selection, survival of the fittest, and response to our environment. As to viewing the changes, all you need is a microscope, since micro-organisms change more rapidly than larger ones. Penicillin was discovered in historical times; we now have considerable numbers of penicillin resistant strains of bacteria. The ones that had resistance survived, and the ones that did not died out. The change is in the entire population.

Also, domesticated animals show similar changes, but they are not "natural" selection except to the extent that we are ourselves a part of nature. We select the individual animals that have the traits we desire, breed those and neuter (or eat) the others, and the species changes. In the wild, those individual bunny babies who cannot hide from or run from the predatory birds do not live to grow up and breed.

Evolution is not only an observable fact, it is just good sense. A population of plants or animals is constantly changing in response to circumstances in their environment.

The concept of evolution is only a theory and will always be only a theory since there's no way to prove that life just happened by some astronomically improbable coincidence in a primordial soup.

If something as complicated as a life form (even single celled life forms are quite complex) can "just happen", why didn't any less complex objects "just happen" as well? The different metals that can be found on earth are the product of natural forces but it took an intelligent mind to produce something as simple as a fork or spoon.

Here's something else to consider. If all life started in the same place (the "primordial soup") as single celled organisms, then evolved into different life forms and those life forms continued to evolve, culminating in intelligent, civilized, free thinking, clothes-wearing, tool-using humans, why are we the only species to evolve this far? Out of the millions of different plants, mammals, reptiles, insects etc., only man has the above qualities. No other species even comes close.

No other plant or animal has ever developed the written word. None have a consciousness enabling them to even realize they exist (I think, therefore I am).
No other life forms have philosophers, doctors, poets, inventors or theologians.
There isn't a single species that can even be remotely compared to man, other than, in some cases, a somewhat similar humanoid body type.

Why have no other animals invented the wheel?
Why aren't there any animals using some type of "designed" tools? (a few have learned to use rocks or other natural items as tools but that's as close as they get)
Why isn’t there any other life forms contemplating the meaning of life?
Why is it that the next most intelligent species are animals like dolphins and whales?
Why are humans so far advanced compared to the rest of the plant and animal kingdom?
And if the theory was true, why are there still apes in the world if the ones that supposedly evolved into human were the only ones "more fit" to survive. There would have been no need for us to evolve since apes seem to be surviving just fine.

My point: your phrase "mid evolutionary state" is meaningless except in hindsight. We can look at a fossil record and say here are two animals A and C, and this fossil B seems to be an intermediate, or transitional, form between A and C. But if we were to go back in time, there is nothing about B that would indicate that it is in some "mid evolutionary state" ... it's just an animal in its current state of development.

That's what paleontologists do for a living. They can take two fossils, and based on (a) dating; (b) geographical location; and (c) dozens of physical features, they can get a pretty good picture of whether one fossil represents an ancestor species to the other. They aren't just two "extinct species" ... they have things in common

It's the same idea as when you see a photograph of a child at 8 years old and another photograph of a child at 12 years old and can recognize them as the same child in different stages of development ... you do this by looking for distinctive features in common, even while other things have changed. And once you have made this connection, even if you can't find a photo of the child at 10 years old, you don't just assume that the child was never 10 years old at all!

And you don't just look at a box of 100 photos of a child and assume these must be photographs of 100 completely unrelated children.

Fossils have features that are as distinctive as photographs of a developing child's face. And the dating of the fossils is every bit as conclusive as a date written on the back of a photograph.

Do you honestly believe that the overwhelming majority of scientists in the world were fooled by one man? Any animal that has ever existed is midway between what it was and what it will become. A few are so ideally suited that they don't change for millions of years, but their relatives do.

The changes happen minutely, over DEEP time. They're the sort of changes that exist between you parents and you - tiny. Mostly they're of no consequence, but once in a blue moon they're advantageous, and spread to be present throughout the population. That's it - no magic transformations.
