Why is it that many people feel that human beings need some central place in the function of the universe? Does this not strike them as hubris? Is it really so hard to swallow the fact that we are an insignificant ape on some blue back water planet out in the middle of nowhere in the universe?

I would say 2 songs right now reflect my relationship with Him and what He is desiring of me.

I'm 100% for abortion if a woman wants one, but I fail to see why people can be only for them in the cases of above. Isn't a baby a baby, regardless of the method conceived?

If the reason for permitting it only in these cases is because of the mother's feelings, then what about the 15 year old who gets thrown out on the street because she's pregnant?

Also, how do you monitor whether a woman has been raped or has been a victim of incest? Couldn't anyone say that?

ok guess what? I'm christian does that make a bad person? no. Somewhere along the line I'll meet someone who is Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, or atheist or other religions. You know what I'll do? I'll get to know them. Does judging people make you a bad person? No... but you may want see people as they really are. I'm not preaching, I'm asking. I'm not pushing my beliefs to you, I want to save you from other judging people. So you may be athesit, muslim, hindu, jewish, christian, anything, just... I asked a question about why some people don't like christians and quess what? I CRIED looking at some of the answers. I didn't read the rest of them because I didn't want to make my eyes even redder but a couple of answers made me feel better but now... I'm NEVER asking a question about my religion because I'm tired of people judging others. I'm not saying I have never done it. I sometimes laugh at jokes and you probably did too. But the greatest thing we can do besides loving others is forgving.

i have been in limbo about my belifes in God, but now i'm leaning more toward the non beliving side...my best friend husband died in iraq recently...shes 7 months pregnat..so why would God leave this young girl alone with a unborn baby that will never meet her dad? how can i beilive

Using scare tactics on atheists seems a little stupid to me. Let me try to put it into perspective to you Christians. If a scientologist came up to you Christians and said if you don't accept scientology as your main religion, you will go to scientology hell, whatever that is. Would that scare you into converting to scientology? I didn't think so. Well that’s how atheists feel when Christians use scare tactics on them. Now I know not all Christians think this way. When I say Christian, I mean fundamentalist wackos.

This person is literally innocent. The two british women are describing how in Palestine, they were watching as three israeli vehicles stoppedd, and two left. The one that stayed behind was aiming at various people who were literally MINDING THEIR OWN BUSINESS, not engaging in war-like activity, just children going about their daily lives. For five minutes, the israeli soldier was aiming and changing his aim, and then finally shot a 14 year old boy in the stomach from an armored vehicle. These two women were yelling the whole time at the israeli soldier to stop, not to shoot, because the boy and those in the area were not doing anything but being outside. What is your take on this?

I'm a Christian and am against abortion, but am for a woman's right to choose.
The law of Moses said Thou shall do no murder and this is a commandment from God.
When the rich man died and poor Lazarus died the rich man asked Abraham if he could go tell his brothers so they won't end up in hell like him, but Abraham said, They have Moses and the prophets, if they won't hear them, they won't hear you.
My point is if women don't care what the law of Moses said not to murder, and God doesn't violate their freewill to kill, who am I to tell them not to get abortions?
If they don't listen to God why would they listen to the Religious Right? Or the Moral Majority?
Only Jesus can change hearts and no law man makes will change anyone.
If you think it is right to force women NOT to get abortions, where do you have scripture to back up your forcing women to do as you say?
