I understand that Jesus was a Jewish theologian.
His belief was based on the teachings of Torah.
And from all I've studied about Jesus, I feel confident that he would be shocked and saddened were he to appear today and see how his teachings have manifested into Christianity and its many versions and interpretations of what he allegedly said to his followers.
So yes, I am close to understanding Jesus.

Trying to understand Jesus is a futile process since it relies on thought. He was born out of love and can only be felt. If we open our senses we can feel a little bit of Jesus within ourselves, in what we refer to as "our hearts." There is no knowing, but instead a recognition of his love within our own. With experience we can begin to sense his love within others, even those we might be tempted to call the lowest of the low.
Hope this helps.

I understand what He did, and I understand WHO He is.
Mighty and awesome in power, and our savior! He is God, and He is good, and He has the victory! He is merciful, and just, He is righteous and Holy- His love endures forever- He is perfect! Spotless! And he will reign forever, and we who believe in Him and are born again in Him will also reign with Him forever....it is good to know the Lord, there is nothing better. Nothing! I cannot imagine my life without Christ- He is so merciful right now- wow, I cannot believe how merciful!
And His grace is sufficient, to know His grace, how wonderful it is, how He has saved me out of His own will, and I don't deserve it! God is perfect- there is NONE like Him- none like Jesus Christ!
Deuteronomy 32:4
He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.
-And this is about Jesus-
2 Corinthians 5:21
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

No one can understand God because His thoughts are not our thoughts. They are so above ours that the most intelligent person on the planet cannot begin to understand Him. I do understand that Jesus died for our sins and that takes a lot of love!

Have you noticed that all the people in history that tried to completely understand Jesus and his words went crazy. The Bible is meant to be a guide for Christians and not to be dissected and misrepresented

I think I can say that I understand a fair deal about prophet Jesus (peace be upon him). He was a great prophet and a worshiper of Allah and he is promised a place in heaven.

Not everything, but I get his main theme of trying to teach us to get along with each other (He taught us to forgive each other). But, I have a lot of trouble understanding Paul's writings, he doesn't seem to ever emphasize us forgiving each other; he rather constantly emphasizes that we are forgiven by God because of Jesus' death?
(I suppose we need both, but Paul confuses me about most of his non-Jesus philosophies.)

We can get to know Jesus by reading the Bible.
He did die and His body was resurrected.
This is great proof that He is God, God the Son.
There were over 500 witnesses to this.
Other historical works also make reference to Jesus. I write this to motivate us all to get to know Him better. We can know what He wants us to know. He wants a relationship with us!
