Oops?
What went wrong is the belief that Jesus even existed as he's portrayed in that bible. It all goes downhill from there.

I never cared for the ministry of the man.
That said, what Mr. Falwell meant is that according to Biblical prophecy, the final generation of this earth age would commence when Judah was reinstated in their land, and established themselves as a State. That event occured right on schedule, May 15, 1948.
What went wrong? Absolutely nothing, except that the man was too heavy and had heart problems - his passing did nothing to
change the final generation.

A lot of christians have made that mistake including yours truly. When I was younger I just knew I would never die physically, that Jesus would come get me first so I wouldn't have to. But I figured out years ago that I probably would die a physical death. If Falwell didn't figure it out before this morning, I guess he has by now.

RIP Jerry....

Duetoronomy 18.......
10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

Notice it says "observer of times"

22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

Jesus is on RPT

Religious People Time

I saw some of that and he said in 1999 that he thought jesus would return in 10 years, so he still has a couple of years left on that prophecy

Which means we can laugh at him again in 2009

i think we could desire to study verses 13-15, respectivetly right here to for sure comprehend the text cloth, as believers we could desire to observe of what Jesus' is asserting right here; that there'll be those between us who do no longer practice the genuine Message of the Bible. no longer all prophets, practice the very fact, as believers we could desire to learn the be conscious, so as that we are in a position to determine a fact from a untruth.

Jesus is just being fashionably late.

As in late, no longer with us, not among the living.

Just like Falwell.

He did return. He's a convicted felon operating in South Florida. Doesn't anyone read the news? ;)

A statement he never should have made...we can't say when or if that would be true...

What went wrong was Uncle Jerry running his mouth when he should have kept quiet....

I, for one, do not believe that Jerry Falwell had the gift of prophecy. : )
