ok guess what? I'm christian does that make a bad person? no. Somewhere along the line I'll meet someone who is Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, or atheist or other religions. You know what I'll do? I'll get to know them. Does judging people make you a bad person? No... but you may want see people as they really are. I'm not preaching, I'm asking. I'm not pushing my beliefs to you, I want to save you from other judging people. So you may be athesit, muslim, hindu, jewish, christian, anything, just... I asked a question about why some people don't like christians and quess what? I CRIED looking at some of the answers. I didn't read the rest of them because I didn't want to make my eyes even redder but a couple of answers made me feel better but now... I'm NEVER asking a question about my religion because I'm tired of people judging others. I'm not saying I have never done it. I sometimes laugh at jokes and you probably did too. But the greatest thing we can do besides loving others is forgving.

"If you judge people, you have no time to love them." (Blessed Mother Teresa)

OK.

If you didn't want to hear the answers, I have to wonder why you bothered asking. And if you actually CRIED reading them, you're just taking this a bit too personally. The fact is that when people talk about "Christians" or "atheists" or whatever on here, of COURSE they're making blanket statements. It takes a long time to type out after every remark that no, this doesn't necessarily apply to every member of this group; but that should be understood.

Take an example - I'm gay, and it is a plain and simple fact that many "Christian" groups are on the offensive against gay people. So I may come on here and complain about that occasionally, and I may use the word "Christians" to refer to these people, even though not all people who identify as "Christian" are bigoted in this way. But it's not like I can pretend that there's not a correlation between Christianity and anti-gay bigotry. We're really highlighting one of the problems with religion here - "religion" implies a body of doctrine, and even though some (most) people don't necessarily agree with every last scrap of that doctrine, their mere membership in the cult is a sort of tacit support of it.

My heart goes out to you. I have had the same thing happen to me several times. Sometimes the question is just stated wrong and I feel that my point didn't get across. It is cruel the way some people act, but don't let it get you down. There are many people on this site that are caring and compassionate, so don't leave us.....

While I feel for you, your opinion doesn't belong as a question in Answers or even additional detail. That is what blogs are for, if you need to vent.

Some people are cruel and it is much easier to do when sitting around on the internet. Don't let it bother you. Most aren't strong enough to state their belief in live-offline-public arenas.

You can't judge people, period. Why would you want to? Even if you did judge someone to be a 'bad person', who are you hurting? You aren't hurting them because they could care less about what you think of them. The only person who is hurt when you judge is you! So why hurt yourself when there is already a world full of hurt in the first place! Don't worry, be happy. (yeah, right)

I do agree with you. If you should meet someone from another religion, before you start shunning them and condemning them, maybe you should get to know them personally. The religion doesn't make the person. We are all individuals, with individual beliefs, even if we are in the same religion.

If you are sensitive and thin-skinned then you will sooner or later be hurt on this forum and that`s a certainty, this section can run from compassion to brutality on a daily basis.
