I see a lot of posts around here claiming the theory of evolution has not been proven.

That is simply not true. It has been proven. If there is no proof for a scientific theory, then it is a hypothesis.

That doesn't mean it can't be proven wrong through further observations of natural phenomena that contradict the theory. For example, if a vertebrate skeleton was found fossilized in rock from the pre-Cambrian eras, then we'd have to look long and hard about the theory.

The evidence, however, is staggeringly broad. Note that the proof for evolution extends through many branches of science - paleontology, geology, biology, genetics..... this is not just an idea cooked up by someone looking at penguins in the Galapagos and surmising things. There is a mountain of direct evidence.

It's a strong theory.

it seems to me that a necessary condition for free will is that the future cannot be predetermined. is there a different notion of free will that is compatible with the idea that god knows everything that will happen?

When I find a lie in something I don't wast my time looking there any more. You guys can trick a few people some of the time ,but not all the people all the time.
Don't you think its strange that Catholics say people that read the holy bible are christians but what it says in the holy bible , says that Catholics aren't christian.

Is it perhaps because the Bible fiction writers NEVER mentioned the Americas?

Is God so wise that he created American Indians without them knowing HIM???

And if so, is that YET ANOTHER proof of HIS INTELLIGENT DESIGNS?

(FYI: Most American Indian tribes were DECIMATED and KILLED into OBLIVION by the pious followers of Christ)

Reason for my question is because I honestly don't understand why people would rather worship the devel & not Christ??? God is real!!! I guess stupid people don't care if they go to hell. Even yet, they won't. Why??? Because as long as they don't commit a big sin like kill someone, they're still gonna go to heaven because GOD will forgive you. Just makes no sense. I've seen on tv where in Mexico, This Satan leader tatoo'd "666" & now everybody is not ashamed to come out, get tatoo'd as well & say that they worship the devil also. WHY??? I believe it was the bible that said that there was gonna be a satan leader that would stand out & brain wash us to also become Anti-Christ's. As I believe that it also said the all the Anti-Christs will come out & show themselves. & these are not people that look weird or anthing, it could be your neighbor. Anything have a saying ???

can you not see a reason for morality without the existence of a god? if god revealed himself to the world tomorrow and said, "nevermind his ten commandements", would you go ahead and break them because they are no longer laws of god? you can't say god would never do that. several times in the bible, god is shown to have gotten rid of rules he felt did not apply anymore and make new rules.

Follow this link: www.leaderu.com/real/ri9403/evidence.html

Here is its summary.

"For life to exist, we need an orderly (and by implication, intelligible) universe. Order at many different levels is required. For instance, to have planets that circle their stars, we need Newtonian mechanics operating in a three-dimensional universe. For there to be multiple stable elements of the periodic table to provide a sufficient variety of atomic "building blocks" for life, we need atomic structure to be constrained by the laws of quantum mechanics. We further need the orderliness in chemical reactions that is the consequence of Boltzmann's equation for the second law of thermodynamics. And for an energy source like the sun to transfer its life-giving energy to a habitat like Earth, we require the laws of electromagnetic radiation that Maxwell described."
