Generally speaking, I rely on just not giving a s#!t about it. Someone will figure it out eventually if it's really worth knowing. Maybe thats why, in the entire history of mankind no one has found any real evidence of God and rely on the campfire stories of bronze-age beduins as proof of the theory of the Big Invisible Dude..
It's something thats just not worth knowing.

I have personal beliefs but unlike religionists I keep a sense of perspective. I never lose sight of the fact that it is only belief based on anecdotal evidence rather than concrete proof.

Proof of what? I may accept something as the best explanation at the moment. If new information comes along I am willing to change my mind if the information is credible. I don't call that faith.

No, just go on the balance of probabilities,
on the best information available,
while checking for things like category errors.
Probabilities and "fuzzy logic" can handle a lot.
Black and white or binary thinking is often, but not always*, liable to error.
*naturally!

But there is no proof to either side of this particular argument, would that not indicate that EVERYONE goes on faith?

Everyone is an Atheist; it's just that some have strange delusions.
Atheist=Without God, and there being NO GODS, you are an Atheist TOO.
Faith is as useful as praying, cursing or wishing.

Nope. I reject 'Faith' in all it's form.
Faith is a crutch used for people unwilling to just say 'I don't know' or those too lazy to find out for themselves.
