No. The Establishment Clause is proof of separation of Church and State.

Gay civil unions maybe. The problem is that the people who would vote such a thing into law, actually feel some personal responsibility for the decision. Thats why gay marriage and abortion always hit a wall. The voter who doesnt believe in the behavior doesnt want to be condemned for 'supporting' the behavior by making it legal. I used to be a christian who argued that folks should be allowed to make their own decisions; (pro abortion) but my study of the bible showed me that I really really shouldnt even get into those sorts of issues. You couldnt pull fundies away from the political process if you tried...but truthfully, real Believers need to just stay out of government and let God do what He will do.

What Gay marriage in America would prove is that we, Americans, have finally moved out of the middle ages and into the 21st century. That we, Americans, have proven that we won't be dictated to by any religious precepts.
The church is already too insidiously involved in our government, we need to ferret it out and remove it permanently. Religion belongs ONLY in religious institutions, in individual's hearts and minds, and in the home.

No. And the fact that a good number of states enacted constitutional amendments barring same sex marriages just proves that religion is alive and kicking.

Well, the fact that we've written it into over half of our state constitutions proves that there is NOT separation of Church and State, because the only objection to gay marriage is the "religious" objection. "Tradition" and "family values" in this connection are mere euphemisms for religion. There is no *rational* objection whatsoever.
But of course primoa is required to play the persecuted victim and insist that "The state has already yanked God out of everything," because whatever the obvious truth of things, this brand of "Christian" has to pretend that it's precisely the opposite. See...well, see their collective stance on pretty much ANY issue.

It would be a major step in the right direction.
I believe in God but no religion should influence the laws of the country. People can be free to conform to their religious laws without imposing them on those who believe differently.

NO, The true God has never been together with state that would be separation of humanity and God wich is happining more and more every day. yes Jesus said:
Romans 13 (King James Version)
1Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation
AND,
Matthew 22:17-21 (King James Version)
17Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?
18But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?
19Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.
20And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?
21They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
So the True Church has never been together with the estate
Yes JesusCrist said to obey the athorities the ones that are not corrupted and the ones who are trying to punish those bad doers and God put together men and woman no the same sex. like it says in:
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 22 Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought HER to the MAN.
23 And Adam said:
“This is now bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh;
SHE shall be called WOMAN,
Because SHE was taken out of MAN.”
24 Therefore a MAN shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his WIFE, and they shall become one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the MAN and HIS WIFE, and were not ashamed.
AND
Matthew 19
4 And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made[a]them at the beginning ‘made them MALE and FEMALE
5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his WIFE, and the two shall become one flesh
and one more
Leviticus 18:22 (New King James Version)
22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.
and this are words of God!
but they call it "love" God is alway the same yesterday, today and forever we are the ones who modify our life styles. so don't think God is going to change for us if people are doing those abominations they have their reward coming. not from humanity but from GOD becuase it say in Hebrews 10:31
Hebrews 10:31 (New King James Version)
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
and for those that say only God can judge me, Well than He will. but not the way they want.

The only argument against gay marriage is religion, so to keep it illegal is to merge church with state. Were we to follow the actual Constitution, we would have a separation and gay marriage would be legal.

The state has already yanked God out of everything so......
How can the Creator of the 3 institutions that we know of (home, church, state) be separated from His own Creations?
