Once you get out of your habit you start getting lazy. I've been there too. Just set up an azaan and whenever you hear it go immediately to pray. It only takes 5 minutes! Sometimes I used to think that I'll make them up later or I'll make them up tommorow but I would never get to it. So be sure to set your priorities we never know how long we will live.

This video made me really think

Salam sis, Keep these points in mind:-

1. Establishing Salah Develops Taqwa (Fear and Awareness of Allah) “This is the Book in which there is no doubt, a guidance for those who have taqwa; who believe in the unseen, and who establish Salah, and spend out of what we have provided for them” (2: 2-3)

2. Salah Is the Sign of a Believer “The believers, men and women, are protecting friends of one another; they enjoin good and forbid evil, and they establish Salah, and give Zakah, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have His Mercy on them, and surely, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.” (9: 71)

3. Establishing Salah Leads to Allah’s Eternal Blessings “So whatever you have been given is but (a passing) enjoyment for this worldly life, but that which is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord. And those who avoid the great sins and lewdness, and when they are angry, they forgive. And those who answer the Call of their Lord, and perform the Salah, and who conduct their affairs by mutual consultation, and who spend of what We have bestowed on them.” (42:36-38)

4. Those Who Pray Shall Have Nothing to Fear on the Day of Judgment “Truly, those who believe and do righteous deeds, and perform Salah, and give Zakah, they will have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.” (2:277)

5.Allah’s Help Comes Through Salah “Seek help through patience and Salah; truly it is extremely difficult except for the humble true believers.” (2:45)

“Oh you who believe! Seek help through patience and Salah. Truly, Allah is with those who are patient.” (2:153)

6.Prayer Protects Against Evils “Recite that which has been revealed to you of the Book, and perform Salah. Verily, Salah prevents from lewdness and evils. And indeed, the remembrance of Allah (by you) is greatest. And Allah knows what you do.” (29:45)

7. Leaving Salah Leads to Shirk “(And remain always) turning to Him (only), and be fearful and dutiful towards Him, and perform Salah and be not of those who commit Shirk.” (30: 31)

8. Previous Nations Were Corrupted when Salah Was Left “Then, there came after them a generation who gave up Salah and followed lusts; so they will be thrown in Hell.” (19: 59)

It happens,, actualy the more we get away from our religion the more we get closer to satan....and he is always there to divert our attention and to get away from God, becuase he is at fight with God....you see when you are not practising something, he would try to assure you that its not abd and later on the guilty feelings fads away with time..secodly when you are used to with something it look easier but when you quit the habbit and then want to start then it look much difficult..! now what you do is be strong in yourself thinking that i m gona make it for myself and i can't afford to make my creator unhappy with me ! pray Allah for help and so as to divert your attension back to him ! and Recite Quran daily , it would keep you closer to God ...what you all need to do is to be strong ! And seek help from Allah for this ! All the best ! its not a big deal...You would start it again ! wish you all the luck !

Here is your contradition. You strongly believe in Islam, but you don't act as scripture perscribes. A theoritical belief which you seem reluctant to devote yourself to. Perhaps an allergory will inspire you.

"A woman swimming accross the ocean wishes to get from ignorance to knowledge. When she swims, she progresses slowly but surely knowing she will one day arrive. When she breaks from swimming, she finds the prevailing currents cause her to drift sideways, lengthening her journey. If she feels her knowledge of swimming techinique is flawed (or has rusted), each stroke she takes seems pointless. Perhaps the technique must be first improved before her motivation to swim can be rejuvenated. If she can't improve her technique from her old swimming manual, she might search for answers in other books. Her goal will always remain the same, to cross the ocean of ignorance. Perhaps serving God means the goal should be to swim correctly, not to reach the shore".

There must be a reason behind these feelings. just ask urself the usual Qs, what is causing this, do I believe less in either god or my religion, is religion in the top of my responsibilities.

Note: I don't belive in any of this, but I'm just being objective.

To truly change, stop believing in fiction, follow science and think for yourself. You really don't believe that in the 6th century a man ascended into the sky, and returned to earth. If you really do believe that, seek professional help.

dont beat yourself. there are many more important things in life then praying. be a kind person and make the world a better place through your actions not by asking this through prayer

instead of starting from tomorrow, start right now. cause you never know if there is a tomorrow (or even if there is another second for that matter)

We can follow laws and traditions of man or we can come to know the true God who is spirit and who frees us from the law that no man can live up to. It is the reason Christ came to the world to overcome temptation and to pay the penalty of death for us to be joined to a righteous God. Those who accept the atonement God provided are by faith changed to God's righteousness and are in agreement with his law. God is an eternal spirit and we worship him in spirit and truth.

if you start reciting and reading and listening to the Quran, that should help lead you to the straight path.

I tried it and it works, as long as I read the Quran I never stray, but if I stop I do stray from the straight path.
