I'm just curious to know, how many times u have read the whole of the Quran (in Arabic)? I know 2 people who have been Muslims all their lives but they've never read the Quran in full. I think that's terrible.

I was given the knowledge of the anipi, handed down to me from a medicine man. The only problem is that he says to use dogwood, and there is no dogwood around. I have seen other traditions use willow branches. My question is can I use another type of wood even though tradition calls for dogwood? I would have to drive nearly 1000 miles to get it.

I just watched a Pamorama episode about scientology and they portrayed it as almost cult like. The people from the scientologists who were policing the filming were brash and over bearing and wouldn't let the journalist have his say. Is this the real scientology? With them trying to get it recognised as a religion in the UK should we be worried?

Intelligent scientists from different countries backing each other's theories up independently OR religious leaders who were 'hell bent' on recruiting people to their doctrine or religion thousands of years ago? Did any scientists ever try to do a crusade and push theories onto anyone or use any scare tactics to explain molecular activity? Answer this honestly please.

So my question to christians is: How many other religions have you looked into?? I'm not talking about what you hear in the media or from your friends, but how many of you hace actually picked up the Torah or Quran or Book of Mormon?? Honestly. How can those who haven't done this say that their religion is the only true one when you haven't even looked at any others with an open mind? Perhaps your god, seeing as you need one, isn't where you think he is.

We are learning that a god is not necessary, and most likely does not exist.

There simply is no evidence that a god exists. There is more and more evidence every day explaining the things we attribute to god... It's 2007, about time we started acting our age.

But then isnt wearing plain old clothes also work?

What happens incase of an emergency.Im sure the sick are treated. So Jews have an allowance for emergency work on Shabbat?
What about eating and feeding a baby?
Isnt walking also work? If not then why is going out of a city considered work?

Any useful link on which most or all Orthodox Jews agree would be welcomed!
Thank u and peace.

Is this why science and religion don't mix? Because science proves the bible wrong?

Here are a few.

(This is one of my favorites!)
"Surely the first *** that invented religion ought to be the first *** damned"
Mark Twain

"Properly read, the bible is the most potent force for atheism ever concieved."
Isaac Asimov

"It seems to me that the idea of a personal god is an anthropological concept which I cannot take seriously. I also cannot imagine some will or goal outside the human sphere.
Science has been charge with undermining morality, but the charge is unjust. A mans ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, edication, and social ties and needs: no religious basis in necessary. MAn would be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death."
Albert Enstein

"I have found Christian dogma unintelligible. Early in life I absented myself from Christian assemblies."
Benjamin Franklin.........(I know....he was a diest!)

I have alot more...but I am running out of room.

America was founded on the Christian believe system (one nation under God) and not atheism or other paganistic belief systems? And if don't believe in that why not leave.
