What is your opinion on the date of 07/07/07.
In the sciptures it is God's number and I want your opinion as it would pertain to the rapture and the book of Revelations.
Thank you!~

Anything could happen, but God's been known to work on timelines that do not fit a human pattern of thinking. The rapture could happen tomorrow, ten years from now, or on 07/07/2007, but I don't think there's anymore of a "chance", per say, that it would on one date as compared to another. People have been speculating for years, and I think it's best just to consider:

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Matthew 24:36 (NIV)

I don't think it means anything. I wasn't afraid when last year everyone was saying the world would end at 06/06/06. I think it is silly to put merit in numbers. In other countries that follow other calendars, it isn't 2007. In the Jewish calendar, it isn't 2007 either. We don't all agree on what day it is actually. The book of Revelation is a metaphor more than it is some actual account of the end of the world. The rapture was something that someone created long after the Bible was actually written. There isn't anything to prove it in scripture. Every day that we have is a gift from God. I don't think that day is any more special because of the date. I think today is pretty special because I am alive and today is the only day that I have right now. To worry about the future is a waste of my time.

No significance-its just a date in time. We know our calendar is at least 4 years off-(Jesus was born in 4 B.C. -should have been 0). Even it the "real" 07/07/07 is significant-how will we know when it arrives?

I never knew 777 was Gods number. But I do know that 666 is the beasts number. But I believe that when God comes there isn't going to be any numbers. The rapture isn't going to happen for quite a while yet. I mean the world is bad but not that bad yet like it falling a part. Because god didn't come durring the depression, he didn't come durring major wars etc.

There is no significance in regaurds to the Lord's coming as the Bibles says that no one will know the day or the hour and that he will come like a thief in the night. I have heard many false predictions and many people try and create a scare but we should be more concerned with glorifying God with the time we have here so when He does come we will rise and meet him in the air. There are certain things that must come to pass before that time but there is no date or number in the Bible which corelates with His return.

People will write checks and letters and put the date on and go "Oh, hey, look! 07/07/07!" Then they'll forget about it, fill in the rest of what they're writing and never think of it again. And that's about it.

Considering that 07/07/07 is a manmade date, and an inaccurate one at that, I don't see that it is anything special.

Seven is the number of completion, yes. However, the calendar is man-made, and not God-inspired. I can't possibly guess whether or not this date would hold anything relevant in God's plan for the End times. The Bible tells us that only God knows.

Isn't that like numerology?

Thought Christians believed numerology was the work of the Devil?

Just curious as I was told that by several Christians.

Or if you use Numerology in conjunction with the Bible then it's OK ??
