I believe love is an action, not a feeling, so i think that it is a very worthy goal. Love is not always squishy, it can be mighty tough.

when i was in school there was a girl that would constantly bully everyone, she was full of hate. Everyday she would be mean to me but I always responded with a smile. this behavior between her and I lasted a few weeks until that one day when she approached me after class asking for my forgiveness! I will never forget that day, she said she felt guilty for treating me badly when I was always sweet to her, she asked me to forgive her and that she was having serious problems at home and she did not know how to control her anger. I heard from several students that she was an abused child of divorced parents. What I am trying to say is the following... be a good person to every one smile at every one be there for every one and show major compassion because you never know what the person is going through in life, a simple smile or a simple "God Bless You" can truly change a life.

The success of love is in the loving
- it is not in the result of loving.
Of course it is natural in love to want the best for the other person,
but whether it turns out that way or not
does not determine the value
of what we have done

I would say it's an impossible goal. Some people clearly don't want love and they'll make it near impossible to love them.

Not possible... because we as people cannot force ourselves to feel emotions that we do not really feel. So if you don't love someone you don't love someone.. its not really a choice.
