That's a tough question!
It would really depend on how much the abused loves their abuser and how much the abused wants to help the abuser

God does NOT want ANYONE to be abused in ANY way whatsoever. You - or whoever - have EVERY right to live in safety and without fear from anyone who mistreats you and would harm you or any child. You are NOT obligated to stay in
a dangerous and otherwise abusive, physically or emotionally.
Get in touch with a really good ministry like 7OO CLUB and I am sure that they can help you OR the person in need!!!
GOD BLESS YOU AND TAKE CARE!!!
P.S. comment on previous answer. Sometimes one person in a marriage gets saved AFTER getting married and the other has no interest in being saved...and they end up being abusive to their Christian mate...and maybe because they ARE saved....satan gets really riled up when that happens!!

No. You need to leave your abusers. See www.saferelationships.net for help. There is no excuse for abuse. You are a human being and deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. Anyone who is abusing you is breaking God's laws and is breaking society's laws.
If you are in danger call 911 or: National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1- 800 799 SAFE or:
The Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN) Hotline: 800 656 HOPE

No it is not wrong to leave. An abuser violates God's direction to a husband on the care of his spouse. He is to love, care, instruct and guide not beat his wife.

In Italy the Catholic Church frowns upon separation and divorce. The Priests will visit the abused woman and try to convince her that suffering is God's will and everything will be fine.
I live in Italy and have witnessed these "counseling" sessions.
The men or abusers, on the other hand do not engage in these type of discussions with the Church. They just go out and have sex with their "amante"...or lover.

Of course not, as long as it's valid. Some teenagers think not getting to watch television is abuse.

No, it isn't. God calls His children to live in peace. And ''what God has joined together...." is for people who are brought together BY God! Too many people choose partners that God has not chosen for them. Out of need, lust, infatuation, or whatever. God would not send someone for you that abuses you. Good luck!
