As I have said many times, it is not the people (or the majority of them) that I have a problem with. The majority of them are hard working, honest, peaceable people.

It's the dogma, doctrine, practices, teachings, heirarchy etc that I have a problem with.

NOW... It's YOUR turn. Can you, as a JW, say something nice about Baptists, Catholics, Mormons, Episcaplians (sP??), Church of Christ, Assembly of God...etc..?????

Didn't think so.

I can most certainly say something nice about Jehovah's Witnesses.
Those who have come to my door over the years have all been extremely polite. Yes, they do proselytize, but they don't force.
At least not the people I have had experience with. They usually offer me a pamphlet or two and when I tell them I am a Pagan, they usually just ask, politely if I would mind taking a look at one of their pamphlets then politely leave.
I have never had a problem with any Jehovah's Witnesses.
That doesn't mean I agree with any of their beliefs, but then I don't have to.

They are honest, hardworking, down to earth, sincere, and loving people. They knock on people's doors or talk to them wherever because Jesus commanded all to do that...Matthew 28:19,20...and why to save lives...teach them the truth...and about God's Kingdom that is spoken of in Matthew 6:9,10. They are not a sect or some kind of close minded people...they party, they drink(not get drunk though), they have friends, they wear jewelry, they get involved in the community...etc....how do i know so much...because i am one...if anyone has any questions...feel free to ask me...we live our lives in accord with Bible standards and have very high morals...

I had some around this morning, they were very polite, and I very politely told them my point.
I have great respect for these guys, they go around knocking on people doors knowing that they're going to get some stick for it, but there brave enough and they've got guts. That's more than can be said to the people who slam doors in their faces and are rude to them.
I certainly wouldn't have the strength of character to carry on.
Good luck to them.

Of course I can say a lot of nice things since they are my spiritual brothers and sisters and quite a few are lifelong, cherished friends.
However, I just wanted to answer Carol D:
Most of the people in the religions you mentioned are very sincere in their beliefs. They have respect for God and his word. Many of Jehovah's Witnesses belonged to these faiths at one time. If they had not been taught respect for God and his word, they would not have listened when Jehovah's Witnesses came to their door.

Well I'm Mormon and I hear similar rude comments. It's irritating, I know.

However, I am not bothered by Jehovah's Witnesses. They have something that makes them happy and that they believe in and they are working hard to share that happiness, which I think is gracious and kind.

I may not like the sect much at all, but if I can't say something nice about them, then I'd best shut up. Here goes: A number of them tend to believe strongly in what they believe and go to great lengths to follow through with it.

people don't know anything about us and rather be nasty. we are families just like anyone else. we don't ride bikes, that is the mormons. we don't knock on your door early in the morning. it will be around nine thirty. we don't go to church, all around the world it is a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. also Jesus Christ commanded us to go to the doors at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20. if you slam the door in our face, we expect it. they where rude to Jesus Christ also. they don't know us, so they are turning there backs on Jehovah and Jesus Christ. www.watchtower.org

The JWs I've met are genuinely kind and unfailingly polite. They've never expressed horror or dismay upon hearing I'm an observant Catholic. And when I turn down their offers of literature and/or biblical discussion, and end our brief encounter with "may God bless you", they don't correct my terminology but simply say "thanks, and you too". I don't agree at all with the tenets of their faith, but I could do much worse than having JWs for neighbors.

Yes, millions have nice things to say about Jehovah's Witnesses.

Globally, there are about 6.7 million active Jehovah's Witnesses, yet about 17 million associate with Jehovah's Witnesses. Their publications "The Watchtower" and "Awake!" enjoy circulations of about 27 million and 32 million per issue, and are almost exclusively distributed by personal interaction with Jehovah's Witnesses.
