Hun...I have believed in evolution, bang and science for many years. I find no conflict for myself with my Christian beliefs.

I do not believe the Bible is without error and perhaps this is the first hurdle one has to pass or let go of, to believe instead it is inspired by God, but written and compiled by men and therefore can have contradictions...and is likely symbolic and representational and not literal.

Well evolution how do they explain apes today? and why don't they have human babies? The big bang isn't right either because explosions create flat jagged projectiles not perfectly round ones such as planets. But believe what you want, But there is only one way to get to Heaven and that's through Jesus Christ our Lord. All their stupid theories add up to one thing they love this world and they want to make everyone agree with their lusts so they feel better when they fulfill them. But as for me I feel grateful the Good Lord has given me the intelligence enough to know that God being a creator certainly wouldn't have created this world better than His own and I will be enjoying that one for a whole lot longer than this terrorist paradise. Take care and may God bless you spiritually.

P.S. It's pay a little now or a whole lot later, And according to the Bible it states it this way " They strain at a gnat and swallow a camel."

Smart Christians don't let themselves get involved in endless debates and disputes about things that will never be agreed on. Now atheists will say that's because they don't want to involve themselves in "deep thought", but that obviously isn't the case; the smart Christians realize at once that those who say such things aren't worthy opponents in any sense of the word. I've offered and challenged many non-believers to debate me and prove rationally and cogently that my faith doesn't exist, and they can't do it. One atheist even went so far as to delete his account to avoid doing so. He e-mailed me and called me everything but a gentleman and asked if I was happy that I caused him to leave the forum.
I e-mailed him back and attempted to explain that no matter how hard I tried, I simply could not draw that inference. He disenabled his e-mail.

Personally, I don't believe you can disprove God or disprove a lot of scientific stuff. I find that God making the world is a bit more logical to me than an explosion randomly happening in complete nothingness, creating dirt and rock to create planets. Also, according to science, every object in motion will remain in motion until an equal or opposite force stops it, disproves the Big Bang. Nothings going to stop objects in space, so how did the sun stop moving out? For example, If the explosion propells rock to the right, there is nothing to stop it and cause it to start rotating and compacting to create a planet. It makes no sense. But enough about my ramblings. God Bless, I pray God will send you to the right people, to see the right things, to reaffirm your faith.

Edit: For the lady above me, how can you say that science was around before religion, and that people made up religion just to explain things? You just threw the bible out the window!

lol... same with me too... believe me... christianity is a faith that is open to debate .... you can question every detail of christianity till you have got the answer you need unlike other faiths.... but christianity's kinda lame too in the sense that the church thought they were the ultimate power on earth and forced christianity on others by waging so called crusades.
Anyways everyone asks questions. And trust me, it is good to ask them and to believe in what you feel is right.
But a person is not defined by how he or she prays or keeps the faith. People who only do this are hypocrites.
If you are a real christian, then your faith lies not in praying but in helping those in need and in leading a good life. Because if Christianity were just rduced to prayer then all christians would end up becoming like the pharisee who donated a sack of gold coins to the synagogue.
and neways, today the church has changed a lot of its views nad is morfe open to such theories and sciences.

I am Christian and I beleive in evolution. Science has existed before humans created religion to explain scientific phenomena. If you look back at historic civilizations as they evolved from polytheistic to monotheistic societies, faith was used to explain things like rain, sunshine, war and now evolution.

I will say that as a Christian I beleive that my faith is about love. Not condeming people for lifestyles and views that are different from my own. God and Jesus are paramount but Adam and Eve, Babel...etc have all been lost in the various interpretations over the centuries.

I say that people can be free to beleive what they want however, in a public school setting....you can't teach Adam and Eve. That is for Sunday School.

We are supposed to worship God with our minds as well as our heart and souls. Its very possible to be a believer and not commit intellectual suicide.

One thing I will tell you is not believe your school science books when it comes to evolution and the origins of life without investigating the evidence yourself. Science books often take old scientific theories and evidence as "gospel" and continue to run with them, even after additional evidence has come up which challenges it or shows it false.

A good place to start is with Lee Strobel's books (Case for Christ, Case for Faith, Case for a Creator) - they're entertaining and informative. Just remember, be a critical reader and thinker - Strobel has an agenda, too, and a friend of mine knows a professor whose friend was slightly misquoted. If you choose to read his books, take the evidence and analyze it as well. They're good reads!

As for the big bang and "microevolution," most Christians who have done any type of research agree with those theories.

God bless!

Evolution and the warm soup theory (life came from a warm soup type of enzymes/proteins) all have one flaw; life came from non life.
Darwin knew nothing about DNA. How can we get life without DNA?
There is also no evolutionary fossils. With all the millions of fossils in our world why are there no gills to lungs, feathers to limbs or something like that. Not even a slight shred of a change. There should be at least thousands!

There are many scientists that are rejected evolution. Not all are Christian but the are rejecting that bad science that's in evolution.

You have three choices:

1. Be ignorant of scientific facts and pretend that the Bible is literal fact.

2. Recognize that the Bible is metaphor, not scientific fact. Realize that God would have used evolution. See that Adam and Eve is not literal.

3. Not be Christian.

Science is actual knowledge gained through learning and understanding the world around you. While faith, on the other hand, is just the belief in something that has been told to you, but you have no other proof of it.
