Charles, you are quite correct and Newton shows how religion and science do not have to be pitted against each other. They are completely separate disciplines! This article is an example of when religion flies in the face of logic, reason, and evidence. That is the real issue.

I liked the "Christian Right Lobbies To Overturn Second Law Of Thermodynamics" article - doubly funny, because one of the commonly cited specious anti-evolution arguments is that the 2nd Law contradicts evolution.
