The main question of every disciple is which is the right way to spirituality? How to progress faster in sadhana?

Is there any scientific way for awakening of Kundalini? The methods/sadhanas in all religions aim for the spiritual progress of disciples. But the path to spirituality is beyond mind. All methods done using mind are not able to progress sadhaka in right direction. So external help of guru is important for this. Here, shaktipat, which is a method of flowing prana energy into disciple by external help of Master.

Anytime I post a humorous question the only people who pick up on the intent are Christians. The atheists and the jews take it dead-flat serious,,just utterly literal. I only know of one atheist on this site who can recognize a joke when she sees it. It's one of the reasons I've come to regard atheists as dead inside. I've actually experimented, and no matter how broad or obvious the humorous intent - I will not address the quality of the humor, since that's a matter of opinion - it always clear that atheists and Jews can't register that the question is not intended as serious without a laugh track to prompt them. What do other Christians think? Ever met an atheist with a sense of humor?

I can't help but notice all the loaded, leading questions asked here that are unequivocally biased against Christians. So here are my questions:

1. Why do people think that Christianity is the only religion that proselytizes?
2. Why do people think that fundamentalist movements only happen in Christianity?
3. Why do people think that fundamentalists represent all Christians?
4. Why do people think Christians are all intolerant bigots who hate gays and people of other religious backgrounds?
5. Why is it perfectly okay to attack Christians, but attacking any other religious group is considered hateful?

I happen to be a Christian who doesn't hate gay people, has lots of friends from many religious backgrounds, and who doesn't try to spread Christianity to others. I'd like to know why it's ok to make these false generalizations about Christians, but not about other religious groups.

I am not sure how I am going to handle their questions and if/how I should teach them about faith, Jesus, God, heaven, etc. I supposed I could say "some people believe ..." tell them about Christianity, and let them form their own opinions as they grow. Will that work? Or will it just be confusing for them?

Should I let my mom or a close friend teach them? Any advice? Thanks!

I have a friend who recently told me she is not religious at all, yet she and her family celebrate Christian holidays. When I asked her how she could celebrate Christmas and Easter as if she were a Christian she got offended. Even though Christmas is during the same time as some pagan holidays, that is not what I am celebrating. I am celebrating the birth of Jesus. I know that many families without religious beliefs celebrate Christmas and Easter, but why bother? If you are celebrating a religious holiday, yet you are not religious, what is the point?

They are great holidays, but I think if I weren't a Christian I wouldn't celebrate them. I don't celebrate holidays that don't apply to me, such as Channukah, Kwanza, Ramadan, or the pagan holidays. I just am curious about what you are celebrating.

The pope basically insulted the ENTIRE indigenous population of Brazil today. His comments indicated that native peoples were 'longing' for Christianity when conquistadores arrived in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.

Brazilian native (and Church) authorities say the opposite--that the invasion of what is now Brazil by the Spaniards and others from Europe brought famine, disease, enslavement and genocide--all promoted and supported by the Church. I'm not entirely sure. I'm a Christian and I wear pants almost all of the time. The only times I wear skirts/dresses is at church or special occasions.

I know some people have a major problem w/girls wearing pants, and I don't entirely get it.

What do you think?

Please pray this does not happen to the majority of Christians around the world..
God wants us to have an undying love for Him. In Revelations 3:14-22, Christ rebuked the Church of Ladociea for their spiritual apathy. He said to them, “You are lukewarm - neither cold or hot-I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” Ladociea had a pipe system that extended to the nearby city of Hierapolis. Heirapolis possessed hot, spring water that had medicinal value. This water would travel to Ladociea via the pipeline. By the time the water arrived to Ladociea, however, it was lukewarm and lost its medical value
Jesus asked the church of Ladociea to open the door of their hearts, so that He can come in and dine with them. God wants us to invite Him into the secret places of our lives and connect with Him on a deeper level. God wants to be close with you. He’s knocking on your door. Will you ignore Him or let Him in?
