I believe that religeons are man-made and have never found one that I wholly agree with, so I would never let them control my life. I do however believe in God and I try to let him guide my life, as I cant say that people are known for making the best choices all the time. Even if people just followed the 10 commandments, would that be such a horrible thing? I think the world would definately be a better place. God doest want to control your life he wants you to make the right decision by your own free will.

It's all in the name of fear. Religion is supposed to bring family and friends together to be peaceful and happy, but instead it becomes a holy war. Right wing-Christians are simply power-seekers looking to control the masses with religion, believing their way is the only way there is out there, and true Muslims would never do such atrocities that the terrorists do. I am Catholic, but I believe that everyone is loved under God regardless of what religion or belief they practice, sexual preference, race/color, anything. Its so sad to see that right-wing America just wants to control everyone else and not live and let live. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, though, but it shouldnt be shoved in other peoples faces either. Remember, God loves, so I don't think He'd advocate any terrorist attacks nor would he like anybody to judge their neighbor, he just wants everyone to love, live, and get along.

Religion heavily influences my life. However, if I feel my church is wrong, I'll openly speak out about it. I've done so any number of times when I feel that Church policy is wrong. People accuse me of making my own rules rather than following the Church, but I don't see anything in the Bible that says that I have to turn my brain off in order to be a believer.

I just happen to reckon that Christianity got it mostly right. I have tweaked it a bit though. Guess that means i live by my own religion! Lol - i still call myself christian though. I believe in all the basics but after all - religion is the business of people and people can get it wrong. Interpret it incorrectly. You know what i mean? Anyway - i live by a little bit of both. What i think god is telling me is right. Hope im listening correctly!

I personally believe that money controls far more people's lives than does religion. Oh, people may say this, that, or the other, but when it comes right down to brass tacks, money makes the decision. If anything could be blamed for controlling people's lives, it would be money.

No, I let my spirituality guide my life. Everyone has a choice, so it's not considered being "ruled". However, those who have an independant spirit will only give more heartbreak and problems to themselves.

Proverbs 16:18 - "Pride is before a crash, and a haughty spirit before stumbling."

And yes, I expect getting 'thumbs down' responses to this, but that just proves the Bible wise even more, so 'thumbs down' away.

Don't have a choice if religion controls my life or not. Only have control over my opposition to it or my acceptance of it. That is if I choose to live in a religiously dominated society.
