Maybe god, out of eternal love for us, heightens our perceptions so that we can feel even more pain and burning.
Actually, it kinda makes sense....in a christian fundie sorta way.

Good point. Hell gets thrown into the lake of fire. So do the wicked. Hell=the grave. Nothing more. The lake of fire doesn't last forever, but the wicked will be gone forever. That may sound choppy, but I am tired of writing the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over...yadayadayada

Oh yeah? Well it's God, and he can do anything he wants! And if he wants to make you suffer in infinite anguish by increasing your perception of scalding heat despite your lack of a functional nervous system when you die... then he just loves you enough to do that.

Good point. And come to think of it I enjoy the smell of brimstone, and the smell of my farts for that matter.

Hell isn't hot. Hellfire came from Dante's Inferno...not the bible. In the bible, hell is the absence of God, not a burning pit.
