I think you are delusional in dismissing others belief in "God". Do you really have a problem with people who think differently than you? I am not a follower of any Abrahamic sect but will not criticize others if they are. That is their right, and as long as they don't try to convert me we will get along just fine. By the way, the conversion part goes for ALL beliefs (or non beliefs) including yours.

Just because a bunch of crack-heads (or the equivalent of the time) wrote about some guy (whose frickin bones we can't even find) that did good deeds doesn't mean we should take a 2000-year old book literally in any way shape or form. Face it, I would rather believe everything happened by chance, than rely on a supposed omni-potent imaginary friend who will throw a bolt of lightning at me (or something similar) is I make him mad a little.
EDIT: I assume that simply letting others believe what they want is OK.... unless people will defend their beliefs violently and shove them down the throats of everyone they meet.

no. I KNOW there is a God. Put aside religion or what you are taught, I still KNOW there is a God. It is a feeling that comes over me, an overwhelming sense of security, peace and love, a small voice leading me, seeing prayers answered daily that even doctors can't explain, and miracles all around us. He is a presence in my life that cannot be denied and no one will ever convince me that there is no God. I pray that you will find what I've had for the past 27 years, no doubt in my mind there IS the one true God.

How do you believe we got here grasshopper? Pond scum or apes? Either one suit you? I'll never give up on you, as God will not. I'd prefer we had you in chains somewhere until you find God, but that's not my choice. He made you wonderfully, and with a heart for Him. You've been distracted from finding our Father and His Son. I pray you get another chance. Otherwise, learn to swim in molten lava. Practice, practice!

Believe what you want, but I know God exists. Human beings are living proof. Just look around you....God is everywhere....s/he is part of us and inspires sudden realizations, thoughts, ideas, and inventions.

Why so critical and cynical? The term "delusional" is bound to be considered insulting, after all. Why such feeling in the question?
One thing that amazes me is the number of people, such as yourself, that feel it is necessary to be critical of people who believe something different from themselves. Why not leave them alone? After all, their belief does you no harm.
And to answer your question: yes, I believe there is a god; several of them, in fact. And several goddesses, as well. But I admit I consider them rather metaphors to represent a reality which is too abstract and esoteric to be taken without such symbols.
