I see the big fat heavy chain around his neck only cuz I gotta grab the remote to change the channel.
The Pope is the head of Christendom.
Look! to Babylon the Great Harlot,
she rides upon the wild beast.
Makes the powers drunk w/ her wine.
Go! Look! and see if you don't see the Pope--Church
her sins have amassed up to the heavens,
get out of her if u don't want a share in her sins.
Its already written, its already done;
it just hasn't come to pass yet.
Look in Revelation...Armageddon ring a bell?
Some body's going down...?...
Religion, Governments, Horses of War, Slaughtered souls rewarded, the God of the Hebrews-Jehovah brings Plagues on false religion, Woes to the ppl on earth, God's ppl here on earth are directly involved, says Satan will gather the rulers of this world, to wage war with the remaining ones of her* seed.
And much more...like I stated earlier...
Some Body is going down...
Lots a talk here @ Y/A about the right 1;
how about the Wrong 1's ?? uummhmmuumm
* her--the Bride of Christ.

The grandeur of the Pope's palace and vestments is not so much for his sake, as for the people who want a splendid ritual as a way to show their devotion. My guess is he gets pretty tired of all the pomp and pageantry.
Much of what we see as luxury (not only for the Pope, but for other famous people) is more of a trap than a treasure. Would you like to live a life that is constantly under scrutiny for the smallest detail? Isn't that really what killed Princess Diana? Famous people have absolutely no privacy, are always on display, and often feel so trapped that they resort to drugs and alcohol just to get away.

The Pope doesn't use as much luxury as you're led to believe. He actually works quite a lot for rather little in the way of compensation...all of the "luxuries" are things that are used only for specific public functions (like having an important figure over for dinner) or for religious ceremonies, which use those things as symbols.

What excessive luxurious things?
Nothing belongs to the Pope. They have a few pair of pants and shirts and shoes that is all, they feed themselves very simply, Pope John Paul II was very severe on himself and ate almost like people did during war. The Vatican doens`t belong to the Pope. As for the people following him...well the man is the head of the biggest Church in the world, you expect him to type his own correspondence? If you want to complain about wasted money go in the Royalty section of this site.

All people sin, God is not absent, He sees what is going on...and will deal with it. If HE thinks the luxuries are excessive and HE thinks that the serving is over the top, He can judge that...it's His business.

It's hypocrisy. The pope, bishops, etc clothes themselves like the Pharisees and Saduccees in Roman times. No, it is not right. But Catholism is not Christianity, it's a religion. Christianity is a faith in Christ. Catholism is following the pope and the "Church's" rules and traditions.

Most religious leaders are rich and live lives of luxury and adoration. Kind of like the pharasees of Jesus day.

He's the spiritual leader of 200 million Catholics. Is it right? Heck yeah. That's capitalism.
If you can get 200 million follower- you too can be rich.
