Doesn't the Bible mention 10%
I give whatever it is I have to offer, it may just be a dollar...perhaps that's all I have, but some many have thoughts on that in Church.
If the Church goes any higher than what it says in the Bible 10% isn't that church going against the Bible.

If you are referring to 'tithe' then you should understand what the word means - 1/10.
tithe - A tenth part of one's annual income contributed voluntarily or due as a tax, especially for the support of the clergy or church.

In my Church the basket or plate is not passed. We place our tithing and fast offering (10%) in a sealed envelope and give it to the bishopric.

my church says if you have it to give...then put it in the basket...if you don't have it then take some out of the basket...I tend to put in about 10-15%.
