yes, God is always changing. He is what people believe him to be. As society changes, religion also changes. Christianity is very different now than 100 years ago. Your personal belief of God, and who he is, will also change. The concept of God is different from individuals. Som believe he is never changing and others believe he is constantly changing. If God is what people belive him to be, and the concept of God is so different from individuals, then God is changing.

There's no question but that the concept of God has evolved over time as we gain more knowledge and advance as a civilization. Even over the course of the Old Testament, God evolved from someone who would, for instance, send plagues, destroy almost all life by flooding the Earth, or split the sea; to a much more gentle God who is described as a "whisper in the wind" and considered more a source of inspiration. Today, with our scientific knowledge, we don't think that God rewards and punished through weather, birth defects, illness etc., like people did in the past. In fact, God now seems relegated to those mysterious questions that are difficult to answer: What is the purpose of life? What happens after death? How did we all get here?

"Self" can now not be on the centre of my life. God should be. each so often it is a conflict and that i've got a liitle dabble with satisfaction, selfishness, anger etc. it is marvelous as quickly as I turn around and repent and ask His forgiveness. each and all the strain is going and that i'm at peace with God. So i might say that cohesion and peace with God is the character of our relationship to God.

Which God are you talking about? The God that Muslims claim, or the Mormons, or the Jehova's witnesses? If you mean THE God, the original, the Judeo-Christian God, then he's always the same.

We're a changing people living on a changing planet. Our gods have coincidentally changed with us. Even if you happen to believe that God never changes, as I'm sure many people on here will argue, you're just plain factually wrong. People who hallucinate, e.g., that they're in the main line of Judeo-Christian tradition and that they worship the same God that was supposed to have descended on Sinai are deluding themselves.

I would assume that he always stays the same but our interpretation of him changes. If you look back in the history books, God is very vengeful and angry. Today he is kind and forgiving.

I'm sure s/he is. God is part of us and we make up individual parts of God. So as we change, God changes too.

Unlike man's ideas, thoughts and principles, God's attributes always stay the same, which proves even more of his love and justice.

God is the same yesterday as he is tomorrow. The same a thousand years from now as He was a thousand years ago. He is never changing.
