Why does the koran say we can't go about conducting mass sermons to get more people to allah? I don't think so. My father happens to be a devout scholar of the koran

so I get it, its a conflict of syntax, while crusades don't mean the crusades of the 12th century, the jihad can't mean the muslim equivalent of the modern christian crusade.this is wrong. Well sorry, jihad unlike the word crusade never stood for 'go kill infidels' rather it meant struggle. Hence it is more qualified to be used in the context of a peaceful mass missionary services, than the word crusade

There are already enough beheadings and car bombings going on in the world. Please spare us.
P.S. you're not funny.

There is nothing wrong with what you are proposing, I think it's a good idea. However it becomes wrong when you start comparing it to the christian crusades, this didn't have to be mentioned in the question at all, why didn't you just ask
Why don't we muslims start 'miracle' jihads?
Your religion should be able to hold it's own without having to compare it to other religions

What a Christian calls a crusade is very different from a Muslim notion of the same. A crusade for a Muslim means to return to the 12th century and go out and kill and pillage and conquer. A modern crusade for a Christian means to peacefully act with devotion to God. No one died from a Christian crusade in hundreds of years.

People will continue to slander the Islamic faith, and yes there are some fanatics out there that will read into things wrong and then go blow themselves up. I do not believe in their cause. I do however believe that miracles are left for God and ONLY God. We do not need to go out there, trying to convert every person who we come across by trying to prove that our religion is right because our reverend or pastor can perform a miracle or 2. To be honest, i don't even believe that they can. Islam is still the fastest growing religion in the world even after 9/11 and every revert has come to our faith on his or her own, without any force or without any convincing.
Unfortunately, much of the world is still ignorant about our religion, and they will continue to be until God chooses to open their eyes.
Funnily enough, i bet that the majority of people who commented on this question do not even practice their Christian religion, but felt there was a good opportunity to slam the Islamic faith yet again.

I think exactly the same of Islamic missionaires as I do of Christian ones .......... The "miracle" bit you just made up - I have never ever heard the word miracle in the context of crusades. But if you are planning miracles at your mass events then count me in - this I want to see.

Bringing Muslims into Western society was the biggest mistake ever in our history, watch this space. There is nowhere in Islam worth living in that is why they need to come here. When enough come they will make the same job of the West as they made of Islam

OK here's the deal..
1. no executions for sexual indescretions like adultery or homosexuality.
2. No amputations for theft
3. Complete freedom for women and others to dress as they please unless health and safety issues etc are involved.
4. Total equality of all religions and freedom of association and speech for all and the right to stand for representation in a democratic constitution.
No? I did not think so.. you are unworthy of respect and devoid of dignity..Let the sands of history be your biographers..

Yes why don't you? Who is stopping you from making a spectacle. At the same time you could lobby for public stonings and beheadings. You'd make a mint in door sales.

Why not? Anything to cut down on violence. Violence may win wars but look at the carnage. It's awful and why can't we just get along? Christ came here to teach us that and we blew him off as if he were the village idiot.

i would never want to be like a crusade.
they used to cook and eat women and children. They would raid and plunder villages. They killed anyone in their way, just because Muslims and Jews were living peacefully in their "holy land". which by the way is also a holy land to Muslims and Jews.
and to the person who said that Muslims started the crusades...
NO they didn't.
just like Christians..
i usually don't say stuff like this, but i cant help myself.
If Christians have done something in the past and in history
and say "oh no, we don't think like that anymore, the Church has changed" and then they blame someone else.
typical.
and if you didn't know jihad mean struggle(personal struggle). my jihad is to keep my identity as a Muslims, and not stray away. It does not mean holy war.
