I am just wondering what criteria people have when searching for a new church when moving to a new area.We recently moved and have not found a new "home" church that offers what we had in our previous area. I am asking so I can get insight from other believers to see what they did to determine the church would work for them and the needs of their family. We found a local church that the message was good but it had no youth program for our 13 & 16 yr olds. We are still seeking to find a church that encompasses good programs as well as good messages for our entire family to be fed the word as a whole, not just bits and pieces. Answers will be greatly appreciated.

google "tbn scandal" and thousands of cons come up one after the other, all taking your money in god's name and running, with christians still defending these wolves

how can an entire network of people still support those who only wish to remove cash from your hands and claim it's to support your god yet be found living the reverse christian life that they tell you is wrong, yet they can live secular and have all what they forbid you to have?

Whenever the heart is turned to the Lord, the veils are taken away. For us to see that the Last Adam ( Christ) in resurrection became the Life Giving Spirit (1 Cor 15 45) and that in 2 Cor we see that " Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty"...
Why has this truth not been preached more in christianity. We see the Oneness of the Father and the Son.. but do we really appreciate the Oneness of the Son as the Spirit?

I hear their new album implies supporting the president is wrong. What encourages a good family values based christian rock like NiN to take such a sinful stance?

As a Diest, I do not follow a religion, but I see wonderful traits in all religions and belief systems. I may not agree with all their ways of thinking but that's okay. My quesiton is why can't we all just forget about our differences and come together as one? When it comes down to it we are all united in the fact that we are humans and that we have hearts and emotions. Is it really so worth it to hate your fellow man simply because he believes different than you?

Sure there are those who try and impose they're beliefs on others (I'm not a fan, but their intentions are good), but do we really need to get up in arms about it? How about we start a movement where we just accept one another and show tolerance towards everyone?

Yeah it's kind of hippie-ish, but as jimmy in south park would say, "it's like come on"

This was a critical point brought up in the Nightline debate.

Until a person understands why this statement is an accurate statement they will never even have a hope of understanding evolution, so it would be pointless to discuss it with them.

If you do not repent and become a Christian?

And, how often should I ask, "How about the folks in China?"

(Of course, Jesus did have a message about other folks in the world and how they too could enter the kingdom of Heaven.)

I don't go thru ask &answer & find sections I don't like & go in & post against them. I don't push Jesus down other people's throats either. In my last question I just asked if U don't agree with me, I'm not looking 4 opinons . I DID NOT ASK FOR YOUR OPINION. TOO BAD SO MANY PEOPLE CAN BE SO DISRESPECTFUL ON HERE. because I have gleaned tons & tons of very useful info & have also helped many a student re-write the essay or sentence & have received best answer even on my previous account I had 2 close because someone so nicely offered to help me & crashed my puter with the download he sent me to. Otherwise U could see my best answers. At least here U can see my answers & see that very rarely do I do anything that isn't repsectful. When I feel my opinion coming in when it isn't asksed for, I usually don't answer. Why don't some of you try that and if you like to discuss issues, I'll gladly do it face to face, will U ? Please do some random acts of kindnessU might have a good day

Go out to the sinners to the street?? He does it out of LOVE- He presents the gospel the way Jesus did . When Jesus approached the woman at the well and eluded to the Commandment 'thou shall not Commit adultery". he eluded to the fact that she had many husbands and was living in adultery and revealed the truth to her. Kirk Cameron has an AWESOME testimony.
Kirk and Ray did a wonderful job during the ABC debate.. They raised God's name before a giant audience. What a golden opportunity to witness for the Lord. They did nothing to be ashamed of by lifting our Lord's name on high. The atheist can't prove anything. We have nothing to fear by debating them. Kirk Cameron is telling the truth. It matters not if some don't believe, but, believe me, In time, they will believe.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

The atheist is a humanitarian who's spent his life trying to end world hunger.

The child rapist spent most of his life preying on children but last year he stopped when he found Christ. Now he's a devout Christian.

..........providing a means to knowing who we are, why we are here, where we are from, where we will go. Though some people deny this devine existence, even they, when faced with doom, hurry to acknowledge it.

The aquisition of this knowledge is an inner aim of all, for it offers our true divine inheritance: peace of mind
The dedication of our lives to this knowledge enables us our infinite blessings.

have found yourself in a conversation, that you did not initiate, about God or religious beliefs and found yourselves being condemned for them and chided for trying to convert or convict without the intent to do so whatsoever?

I can't help but notice that when logic fails during a discussion with a closed-minded fundie churchie type, and all that's left is an outraged yell of frustration from running forever around their circular logic, that the churchie-church-church gets a look on their face akin to sexual gratification. Not just from personal experience, but on television shows such as talk shows, etcetera.

Is it true? Do insane people get off on making logical thinkers freak out?
