God isn't a woman because:
When Cain said "Am I my brother's keeper" a woman would have responsed with "Heck yes! I TOLD you to watch your little brother out there, it's a big world!"
A woman would not have let her people wander in the desert for 40 years, she would have asked for directions long ago.
If God were a woman, a man would have his di** on his chin :)
A woman would never have sent 3 men to a baby shower - they got lost and showed up late, brought really inappropriate gifts and didn't even stay to help clean up the manger.
Obviously I'm kidding lol ... but God is neither man nor woman, He is both put together. The beauty of a man and woman is God in fullness. We just say God in the masculine because His relationship with us is so similar to that of a Father to a child.

Mostly, the bible, written by men, gives this impression. They refer to it as "father," etc. Doesn't mean it's correct, doesn't mean something else shouldn't be considered.
Areweth, I was with you until you kept referring to god as "he" even after you suggested that it's neither. Be bold: call it an "it," if you really don't believe it's a male.

I wasn't aware that any one actually thought of God as a "man." I have always been taught that God was an entity who was neither male nor female, and that is the opinion of every theologian that I have ever studied.

I am a Christian and I can only answer that by what Jesus said....
John 14:9-11 (New Living Translation)
Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of the work you have seen me do.
John 20:17
“Don’t cling to me,” Jesus said, “for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
John 8:18-20
18 I am one witness, and my Father who sent me is the other.”
19 “Where is your father?” they asked.
Jesus answered, “Since you don’t know who I am, you don’t know who my Father is. If you knew me, you would also know my Father.” Jesus made these statements while he was teaching in the section of the Temple known as the Treasury. But he was not arrested, because his time had not yet come.
-----------
Jesus called God His Father.... not mother... not woman... and never 'she'... he had an earthly mother and a Heavenly Father.... God... not female

Many people are not certain that God is a male. It's religion that says, "Father, Son and Holy Ghost", not God personally.

Every scripture reference to God is always a male reference. This is also true with angels.

God is our Father. If we have seen the Son we have seen the Father- as Jesus says in Scripture.

God is indeed pure spirit but Jesus taught us to call God Father and this is good enough for us.

There has to be a feminine side to God, if not a Mother God herself.
