I don't believe that. I know better. Do you actually think that when a person gets a cold they should go to church and infect others? That's brilliant.

But we go to church to be with others of the same faith.

*7 Reasons* *to Go to Church This Sunday*

Being there means more than you think

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why can't we worship God in the comfort of our homes, enjoying the
best preaching and music that television has to offer?

Why can't we just enjoy being alone in the woods, with God and the pine
trees?

Why can't we meet God at the water's edge, wiggling our toes in the warm
sand?

*Why we really need church!*
We need church because it's a *family reunion*. Jesus said, "Who is my
family? Those who do my will" (see Mark 3:33, 35). Christians are a
family—rejoicing with one another, crying with one another, helping each
other. We need each other's support. God warns us not to forsake
gathering with other believers (Heb. 10:25).

We need church because it's a *classroom*. We're preparing for a
mission. We're enrolled in a course of Christian discipleship for life.

We need church because it's a *refuge*. The sanctuary is a place to get
away from the busyness of the world. It's a mini-retreat. It's a place
to focus on heavenly things, to worship.

We need church because it's like a *billboard*. As neighbors watch us go
to church week after week, they see what is important to us. They may
wonder what is going on that attracts people so regularly.

We need church because it's a *memorial service*. Imagine you had been
in a war and one of your buddies threw himself on an enemy grenade to
save you—and it killed him. Suppose you learned there was to be a
memorial service for him in your hometown. Would you be there? Of course!

Since Jesus died for us, we honor him by attending church. We remember
his death by taking communion.

We need church because it's a *victory celebration*. Jesus left an empty
tomb, and we should celebrate his resurrection together. At least one
day a week should be set aside for remembering Jesus' triumph over death
and Satan.

Finally, we need church because it's *time spent with God*. As children,
we are loved by the Father; he's not cold and aloof. He delights in
spending time with us, and it's good to be with him. God has plans for
each of us, and we want to cooperate with him. Jesus said that where two
or three are gathered together in his name, he is there (Matt. 18:20).

We need church because we're a part of a family, we have lots to learn,
and we need to have a retreat. We know our priorities, we respect
Christ's death, and we are overjoyed by his resurrection. And, we want
to spend time with our father and other believers.

That's why we need church!

I hope nobody thinks that way because they're missing the point. I do believe that many think that they would like to do well on this earth by giving, accepting, forgiving and loving God, yourself and your neighbor. Many people I know that go to church, go so that they can learn more about, and feel closer to the teachings of Jesus Christ. As they do that, it helps give them a guidance towards being more of a servant for the Lord by helping others, doing kind deeds, giving their time and investing in the future of the church for other believers as well. A church is not a big corporation, a churche's doors only stay open because of the need, the attendance and what people give in monies to the church to keep them operative. It takes a village.

I think that a lot of people don't want to go out of this world before giving back and doing good things in their life. It gives them more of a dimension that it's not just about their narrow little lives, but by incorporating others and sharing of your time and self, you are thus teaching the gospel by doing unto others. By helping others, you are passing on a deed that hopefully they will do to another as well. By helping others, we take away the focus on our needs and become fuller and more content with the love and the time that we shared toward those that were in need. Does that make sense?

some non secular businesses (seventh-Day Adventists, seventh-Day Baptists, and particular others) declare that Christians shouldn't worship on Sunday yet on Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath. They declare that, at some unnamed time after the apostolic age, the Church "replaced" the day of worship from Saturday to Sunday. although, passages of Scripture which incorporate Acts 20:7, a million Corinthians sixteen:2, Colossians 2:sixteen-17, and Revelation a million:10 point out that, even in the process New testomony situations, the Sabbath is no longer binding and that Christians are to worship on the Lord’s day, Sunday, fairly. The early Church Fathers in comparison the observance of the Sabbath to the observance of the ceremony of circumcision, and from that they widespread that if the apostles abolished circumcision (Gal. 5:a million-6), so additionally the observance of the Sabbath could have been abolished. here quotations practice that the 1st Christians understood this theory and accumulated for worship on Sunday.

Going to church is great but I have never heard that you had to go to church everytime its open to get to heaven. Who ever told you that or where ever you read it sure lied to you..God is everything not just in church, He lives within each of us who has excepted Him into your hearts..many people who are sick and are christian can't make it to church but God lives in them too.To get to heaven you have to believe in God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, you have to believe that Jesus died on the cross for you as well as for the world, which means everyone. You have to have a willing heart one that is open to God's Word, His Love. You have to be willing to do the work God has called you out to do, with the willing heart..These are things that will get you into heaven and to have eternal life with Jesus Christ

It is a good thing to go to church and be with other Christians because God does not want us to be alone. Do you have to go to church in order to go to Heaven? No. Just believe in and have faith in The Lord. You can worship Him with out a building. But He does not want us to be alone.

You mean I won't get a "100% attendance" certificate when I get to Heaven? Darn my 3rd grade Sunday School teacher Mrs. Fung ... she promised!!!

lol

Obviously no, going to church will not get you into heaven, all it does is give you a place to worship God, like you're supposed to do once a week, give you fellowship and learning with others just like you, and have a reason to go out for dinner after church ... since you're so dressed up and all.

I don't believe that in order to go to heaven, that you must walk through those church doors every time that they are open. I believe that you must believe that you are a sinner and go through Jesus Christ to enter heaven's gates. Church is only a support group and teaching center per say. It is to help you get stronger in Christ and learn the ways of the Bible, which we all should be doing, in my opinion.

Well my friend, I have a love of the Lord and I pray all the time even though I do not always go to church. I feel the Lords love and works in my life each and every day, so I know that he love me in return.

I think as long as we are strong with our faith, that we believe in God and know that we are saved by Jesus Christ. That we confess our sins to the Lord and believe that we are forgiven then we will be saved. The Lord God almighty love us so much and he provides for each of us, I know that he is always with me. I will put my faith in the Lord all the days of my life, and I will not worry.

Do not get me wrong I know that it is good to attend church, it is good to be with others of faith. I am not always able to go because of my illness, it makes it difficult for me to go. I know that I don't have to go, but when I can go it is because I both want to go and love to go.

God Bless you!

There is no heaven dude. SO dont bother with church. Go to church only if you feel it will help you be a better person. It helps to sometimes listen to some of the advice they give during sermons. But dont go to church to go to heaven, cause it doesnt exist.

That is not truth, unless that is what you beleive. Typically Christians believe that. If I did believe in heaven, I would tell you to simply live a good life without hurting yourself or others, respect the earth, follow your heart and you will be well on your way.
