I don't go thru ask &answer & find sections I don't like & go in & post against them. I don't push Jesus down other people's throats either. In my last question I just asked if U don't agree with me, I'm not looking 4 opinons . I DID NOT ASK FOR YOUR OPINION. TOO BAD SO MANY PEOPLE CAN BE SO DISRESPECTFUL ON HERE. because I have gleaned tons & tons of very useful info & have also helped many a student re-write the essay or sentence & have received best answer even on my previous account I had 2 close because someone so nicely offered to help me & crashed my puter with the download he sent me to. Otherwise U could see my best answers. At least here U can see my answers & see that very rarely do I do anything that isn't repsectful. When I feel my opinion coming in when it isn't asksed for, I usually don't answer. Why don't some of you try that and if you like to discuss issues, I'll gladly do it face to face, will U ? Please do some random acts of kindnessU might have a good day

Here is a scripture:

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, that Satan has great hold upon their hearts; he stirreth them up to iniquity against that which is good; And their hearts are corrupt, and full of wickedness and abominations; and they love darkness rather than light, because their deeds are evil; therefore they will not ask of me.

"Satan stirreth them up, that he may lead their souls to destruction. And thus he has laid a cunning plan, thinking to destroy the work of God; but I will require this at their hands, and it shall turn to their shame and condemnation in the day of judgment...

"As well might man stretch forth his puny arm to...turn the Missouri River upstream, as to hinder the Almighty from pouring down knowledge from heaven..."

If you really believed in Christianity, and cared about other people, you WOULD try to push it down other people's throats. Those who complain about that are just concerned with being bothered, they ought to respect Christians that do that. This is a very whiney question, it's not being beat up to be informed that your maniacle, child murdering idol is make believe. Try to imagine for a second that we actually believe that, and are trying to wake you up to that fact. It is important that humans as a whole have an accurate cosmology...Peole with and without faith can agree on that. The argument is not about how important it is, and if you aren't motivated by it's import to take part in the clash of ideas, you don't have to do it, but you shouldn't whine either.

I try to keep my opinion out where it isn't asked for, but with how subjective religion is, it's hard to find a question in this forum that isn't asking for an opinion in some way.

And my answers are only disrespectful if the question is.

Do you feel better now, after your rant?

When theists (not just Christians) try to pass off something blatantly untrue as fact (ie, Creationism, Dominionism, etc...), I speak up. When theists or atheists ask questions of atheists, I answer. When theists make statements about other religions that are not true, I say something.

If this is "beating up on", then I'm guilty.

They have bothered me.

1) They've passed stupid laws that restrict my freedoms.
2) They've pushed their superstition on others and have gotten government aid to do so.
3) They've used their superstitions as a basis for killing innocent people and spur on wars.
4) They've slowed scientific progress, even progress that would help humanity, in the name of their superstitiions.
5) They've dumbed down their followers to be ready unquestioning supporters for tyrants.
6) They've created idiotic taboos that take away from the quality of life.
7) They have promoted intolerance, racism and bigotry.

And this is the short list of reasons.

And this applies to other religions, too, not just Christianity.

It's the internet, not a cage match. Nobody's getting beaten up here.

If you find it rough -- and it appears that you've learned some unpleasant lessons -- then maybe you should play elsewhere.

If you continue playing here, just remember there's no rule that says "respect required."

Good luck.

Zealot pan-loads spewing fiction is annoying to everyone. If you don't believe me, try watching Benny Hinn.

i find the question a perfect example of non-believer bashing. i wonder why you ask such a loaded question? perhaps you should be on a different forum?
