I can cry because I did not get what I asked for or what I wanted in life or I can cry and be upset that I Got what I prayed for _JAM

I think it is all about preseptive and being content. What is your take on this?

Reminds me of another old saying: be careful what you wish for... you just might get it.

We always believe that we know what we want but thankfully God knows what we need,I actually know a man who prayed to be successful and he really did make it big in the world, sadly after a few years he became addicted to cocaine and lost everything and ended up in the gutter for a time.

You can always pray for what you want, but be content with what you have. That's the only way to happiness.

not sure what a godly standpoint is when some bible quotes attribute to god genocide, murder, rape and death aplenty

either way, prayer or no prayer, you get nothing or something

putting "god" on it makes is religious when it stood alone as normal and unsacred, not special and part of life

I think you or anyone else shouldn't waste their energy praying for anything. You either make it happen for yourself or you don't. Take responsibility for your own life.
