My pastor (Charles Swindoll) spoke a sermon on this subject. I really didn't think about what Hell would be like if we went there. He said in his sermon that when someone has a big hot boiling pot of oil and pores it all over your body, it would burn up your body. This is almost that same feeling in Hell. Not only that your body is burning but living in the taste of maggots feeding on your flesh, and living like this forever. This is the real Hell. I don’t know about you but I don’t want to go to Hell. And this will happen if you don’t have faith in the Lord Jesus. Just thinking about those people who has been through death and now living in suffering is truly depressing and seeing those who don’t experience to know the Lord. Please share your thoughts.

John 1:11-13 (New International Version)

11"He(Jesus) came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent,[a] nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God."

Have you become a child of God yet? Heaven is sweet!

don't want to talk to the very people who are Jehovah's Witnesses. They will listen to ex- JWs or so called ex-JWs, non JW and anyone else but an actual JW. They will go to websites about JW which are not published by JW and filled with inaccuracies and mostly total lies.
People will ask on Answers about JW but how many will speak to them face to face yet rely on other people who are not JW to tell them about them and often they don't know anymore either.

If you died at this moment, where is your soul going? Do you believe that there is Heaven and Hell? Do you know where you are going after death? Do you truly believe that in the Bible its says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son(Jesus Christ) that whoever believes in Him shall not parish but have eternal life" or "For it is by Grace you have been saved through faith and not of yourselves." I believe what is said in these verses. What about you?

This question might offend some Christians, sorry for that.

If atheism keeps growing, the new atheists are most likely former religious people. With taking Christianity as an example of a religion, my assumption is that a large part of the new atheists are former moderate Christians, who already had some doubts about gods. Probably already fairly logical people.

The chance that a fundamentalist anti-gay Christian becomes an atheist is very small.

If this is true, wouldn't that mean that with every increase of atheism, Christianity as a whole becomes more hateful? And isn't that a really scary thought?

Feel free to shoot holes in this little theory, it's just a random thought after a few beers.

The bible said that "at the end there shall be perilous spirits, men shall be lovers of themselves..." and this clealy indicates that the bible speaks against same sex realationships (Homosexuality and lesbianism). Now how come the Americans are odening gay bishops and lesbians to head their churches. Let me ask, when the siterdel of justice is corupt, what will happen to the body politics?

Bukari: “”the prophet said, "isn't the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?" the women said, "yes." he said, "this is because of the deficiency of a woman's mind."” http://www.islamicity.com/mosque/sunnah/bukhari/048.sbt.html#003.048.826

Typically Muslims try to answer this question by making a joke out of it but not denying their belief in claim that woman are retarded.

To directly assert that "woman are not deficient of the mind" is to contradict Muhammad, which is blasphemy in Islam. In a apologetics conversation with non-muslims, Muslims will say and do everything, short of agreeing that woman are not deficient of the mind.

This shows you the exent of brainwashing, to take the most obvious truths or untruths, ann deny them, if the Quran or Haddith says the opposite. Thats the pinnacle of brainwashing.

My experience is, that with a sample of Muslims in Islamic countries, maybe one in a hundred will agree woman are not deficient of the mind.

I mean, if you ask any Christian if Quetzalcoatl exists, they will tell you flat-out "NO". Doesn't that constitute a belief on their part, a BELIEF that Quetzalcoatl doesn't exist? What about Freyja? Ninsun? Marduk? Juno? Poseidon? Zeus? Amun? Chiuta? Mithra? Krishna? That's a whole lot of belief right there.

So really... Christians... you believe much more than you give yourselves credit for, don't you? My my... your beliefs number in the thousands! Did you even know that about yourselves?

I wanted to post it because I like the idea that the monk was standing up for Buddhism. This was ofcourse many years ago during the Vietnam war. I just like the symbolism of strength. It's just like having a cross with Christ hanging from it. Is not? I'm not trying to cause any negative attention. I just wanted to know what people thought before I actually did it. Thank you.

There are several influential religions in the world today. Diversity of religions makes human civilization so wonderful, especially the Big Four: Christianity in Europe and Americas, Islam in W. Asia, Confucianism in E. Asia, and Hinduism in S. Asia. So, should the mankind believe in one religion only ?

I don't really see how it could. All ethnic religions - Judaism is the classic example - carry within them the concept of ethnic superiority. Does paganism avoid this somehow and if so,how? What, for example, would the basis be for Norse paganism without the assumption of a presumed superiority of Scandinavian ancestry? I don't see how the concept could be separated.
