I believe the Bible word for word. wwwdrdino.com shows how science proves the Bible to be correct.

A quality attributed to God is that he/it has always existed and always will. Science says energy can neither be created nor destroyed. Seems to be no discrepancy there. Since both statements agree, there can be no beginning nor end. A more logical statement would be "in the beginning of my awareness it appeared that the world had a beginning but upon further consideration that idea does not support logical theories, therefore it must be modified into one that does".
Logical ideas that seem to work are: God and energy are the same thing. All creation is simply God in manifestation, God creating the universe from himself, or energy being changed from on form to another.

Too bad mainworry isn't around.
hmmmm
It happened as the bible says and God said it was good.
In the beginning -
time
God -
no arguing here GOD is
created -
one nature of God, the first one mentioned
the heavens -
multiple - many different ones - this can also mean space or states that is or is not seen or understood by humans
and
the earth -
matter
Now we know several things:
God is
He created time
He created space = various
He created matter
All in one little verse 7 Hebrew or 10 word English words.
There is more in this first verse yet!
This is the first verse of the bible it cannot be nut-shelled to much info.
Do you understand there is much more to the bible than most people know or have any idea?
It takes time and study.

I think God created life and messed with the planet so it could support life for humans and animals.
I think we exist because God wants his creation(humans) to love him out of our own free-will because that is the love God desires.
Instead of like the angels who love God because they were created to do so. But we have a choice.

Being an evolutionist and a supporter of Darwin, i'm gonna have to say that compared to logical scientific evidence, the whole god approach seems a little bogus. It's pretty much like the family guy episode where the genie pops out of the water and scrunches her nose and poof, a car, a man, a rabbit, etc. It seems a little far fetched to me.

What is there to say? I believe God created all things. He knows how he did it and how long it took. I have enough to deal with in this life without questioning the creation.

I believe in God and I believe that He created each and every one of us with the hope that we would serve Him and grow to be the persons He intended us to be. Many of us get lost along the way on our life long journey, but God is always there to help us, if we only allow Him inside our hearts. I'm not a holy roller or a bible thumper. I just love God and know that He loves me and cares very much for me.
I know religion is usually not spoken about on the net, but since you asked, right? :-)

In the beginning, there was a consciousness. That consciousness created the universe. It tried to expalin things that is did not understand and influece other consciousnesses that didn't agree with it. Those that did agree developed a language for themselves and used it to rule over those that were did not agree with them and their description of the world.

* First day: God creates light. (The source of light is not mentioned; it is described by some as a "primordial light".) The light is divided from the darkness, and "day" and "night" are named.
* Second day: God creates a firmament and divides the waters above it from the waters below. The firmament is named "heaven".
* Third day: God gathers the waters together, and dry land appears. "Earth" and "sea" are named. Then God brings forth grass, herbs and fruit-bearing trees on the Earth.
* Fourth day: God creates lights in the firmament of Heaven, to separate light from darkness and to mark days, seasons and years. Two great lights are made (note: they are not named), as well as the stars.
* Fifth day: God creates birds and sea creatures, including "great sea serpents" or "great whales". They are commanded to be fruitful and multiply.
* Sixth day: God creates wild beasts, livestock and reptiles upon the Earth. He then creates Man and Woman in his "image" and "likeness". They are told to "be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it." Humans and animals are given plants to eat. The totality of creation is described by God as "very good".
* Seventh day: God finishes his work of creation, and rests. He blesses and sanctifies the seventh day.
Its all *** backwards, it completely contradicts what we know.

wow that's a pretty vague question. You'll get a wide spectrum of answers. It will be interesting to see what people say though. I guess you're looking for opinions. I say that God put us here to prove our place in Heaven. IF God forbid we don't prove to him our place we will go the other place.
