First of all, "lovers of themselves does not point to homosexuality." It points to a self-oriented focus in general. Do people love God first, and others as themselves, as Jesus commanded in Matthew 22:38-39? No, not generally. But this is the problem throughout the world, not just America.
You ask why Americans are ordaining homosexuals, and I can tell you that "Americans" are not ordaining homosexuals, but particular denominations are, as you pointed out. One especially notable group is the Episcopalians, but then, they are really the Church of England in America. I have a pastor friend who does not abide this awful sin, and has pulled his church out of the Episcopalian denomination and has rejoined the Anglican communion.
America is a diverse place. We have very Biblical people, and very liberal people. This is the case everywhere. But it is sin that is bringing these abominable ordinations about. Thank God there are so many denominations, and people are fleeing these liberal godless, politically correct churches for more conservative and Bible believing ones.

Your spelling of citadel is the most intelligent part of your question.
1 Timothy 3:2 states - For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.
This is talking about egotism, not homosexuality. Now, it's clearly past your bedtime. Don't be disobedient to your parents. Put down the mouse and come back when you're a few years older.

Bible has always been corrupt just like all justice and political systems. There is nothing new under the sun indeed.

Well, xians will tell you that the bible has not changed, and will probably quote you Revelations. But in fact, the bible has been modified throughout history, with certain books dubbed apocryphal, while others become biblical canons.
Of course, some were considered even Gnostics, or heretics. And they were dealt with the way the church knew best; torture.

If course it's been rewritten. It's been written and rewritten and manipulated for everything from fanaticism to politics and there are many many versions of the Babble. Which one is the right one? I've never been able to get a christian to tell me straight. It's always, "Well, the version *I* use." Uh-huh.
And work on your homophobia. It's distasteful.
Also, it's spelled - "c-i-t-a-d-e-l."

It is the works of the devil. This is all written as well. There will be false prophets and such. I wish those would awaken and read the Bible for the words it speaks instead of interpreting what they want for it to believe!
I guess you nor I cannot save them all!

Same Bible.
Have you ever studied the context of anti-homosexual statements in the Bible? I know it is easy to think that the Bible was written to modern America, but it was actually composed in a completely different cultural and lingusitic paradigm. What seems plain in our modern context might not be so plain in its original context.

You left out Narcissism. The interpretation of the words are your personal opinion and belief of what the words mean, it may be correct to & for you, but not neccessarily to/for others.
Bible was written by men to control other men. The system has always been corrupt

this is still the same bible. the scriptures teaches that you had false teaches in the long ago; you have false teaches now. everyone that proclaim the name of Jesus does not believe in Him. that is why the scripture teaches that you are to study to show yourself approved unto to God a workman that need not be ashame. it says in another place to work out your own soul salvation and again, trust no man, blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the lord is.
