Then how can he have been responsible for the killing of every new born son in Egypt during the birth of Christ, which would not occur for another four years after his death??

Furthermore, this article claims that Josephus the Historian wrote about the burial of King Herod, describing its location (the tomb was recently found.) However, Josephus was not born until 37 AD - a full 41 years AFTER the death of Herod...

So, it appears that Josephus was into embellishing the truth - at least he was never an eyewitness to this burial. And, it appears that King Herod was not responsible for the Biblical slaughter of new born males sons either...

So, please let me know what Im taking out of context with these HISTORICAL FACTS.

Evolution we can back up, however its hard to back up the bible facts. Todays technologhy did not exist back when the bible was written, thefore people can't say that believing in evolution is a "sin". I do believe in God, however I believe in evolution, and I also believe in sins. So I'm not putting down the bible in any way. I just want an answer to why people wont believe in evolution. eventhough the monkey is very similar to us humans.

For those of you Christians who take homosexuality lightly, let me ask you this:

If you had a son that was gay and you could magically push a button to not make him gay, would you do it?

I am tired of people acting like it's not a big deal when it is.

Homosexuals need help and if we act like it isn't that big of a problem, that only ENCOURAGES them to continue their sin. We need to reach out to them, not ignore the problem.

So, would you push the button to make your son not gay, or would you just go on like it's not that big of a deal?

Yes or no?

This is true as opposed to what man has believed since history began. "God" is "Elohim", Hebrew for The Ancient One. "the LORD God" is "YHVH elohim", Hebrew for "he who wants to become the ancient one". "God" is the Creator! "the LORD God" is the creature! King V.S His Lord! Elohim V.S. Lucifer!

Say you get sick. Your doctor says you have cancer and will die unless you take the medicine. However, your pastor says that god himself has revealed him that what you have is a Satanic curse on you, and to cure yourself, you must NOT take the medicine AND pray 1 hour a day. Who would you believe more? The doctor with the degree in medicine or the man that works directly with god?

I just read that hindus believe in one God but that God takes on multiple forms. If this is true, isn't it similar to the concept of trinity? And if christianity is still considered monotheistic, why is hinduism called a polytheistic religion? Just a little confused....thank you /

The MOST famous name for God in the OT is called the Sacred Tetragrammaton –It is YHWH.

The name Yahweh is derived from the statement God made to Moses in Exodus 3:14. Moses asked God as to what his name was and he got the reply -- "ehyeh esher ehyeh" .

The editors of the NEW JERUSALEM BIBLE explain this as : "The Hebrew can be translated literally 'I am what I am' , which would mean that GOD did not wish to reveal his name to them" (p. 85)

Biblibal scholars go even further and admit :

"The truth is , nobody knows for sure how the name of God was pronounced" (Pg. 7 - Watchtower Bible and Tract Society)

According to the biblical Apocrypha, the Last Judgment (and therefore, one supposes, the end of the world) would occur one thousand years after the birth of Jesus Christ.

This was December 31, 999. No End Times ever occurred.

Later, Theorists pressed to explain the A.D. 999 bust decided that the 1,000 years should have been figured from the death of Christ rather than from his birth.

This was December 31, 1033. Again, no End Times occurred.

In all there are a total of 44 End Times Prophencies that have not come to pass - the first being the New Testament: The End should have occurred before the death of the last Apostle. In Matthew 16:28, it says:

Verily, I say unto you, there be some standing here which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.

One by one, all the apostles died. And the world rolled on for everyone else. . . .

Do they honestly believe that out of those hundreds of thousands of scientists, those billions of people that know the evidence of the Theory of Evolution, there is one person that seriously even thinks twice after hearing "but paintings and buildings have a creator too"?

Has there ever been, in the history of mankind, one person that, after studying evolution for a couple of years thought "Oh wait, what have I been doing with my time?!? Buildings can't create themselves! Dohh" ?

I'm just curious on what people would think about this. I'm a Spiritualist. What is that you ask? I don't bind myself to a religion, I bind myself to God. I pray to him at night and on occassion I say silly things to him in hopes it makes him laugh, for exampe, I told him to tell the Holy Ghost this is not an episode of scooby doo (if you've seen comedian Eddie Izzard, you'll know what I mean). I accept Gays and I fight for their rights to get married. I read Harry Potter, and yes, God Forbid, I have sex outside of marriage (i'm not married). I don't go to Church (because most Church people are close minded, based on my experience), and I don't read the Bible, because I don't believe it's accurate. God didn't write it, prophets wrote it. You can't speak for God, he can speak for Himself. Do you think I will go to hell since I'm a Spiritualist? Just curious as to what people think. No matter what, I'll always be a spiritualist, just curious. :)

I have atheists haunting my every move at my job, personal life, entertainment, and even here.

The only reason people treat me badly is because I will proclaim Jesus Christ as the only saviour.

Wet your panties all you want. This is the truth, whether you like it or not.

It's like you are a prisoner on death row. You can't say "ha ha judge, I don't believe in the death penalty". NO! There is a death penalty, and Jesus is the only way out. The only way!

C'mon!
