I would like to make difference in people's life. But I rather be known in heaven than here. This world will be gone, so I do not build anything lasting here.

I do not have children, nor do I intend to have them. However, I'd hope that my legacy would be educational. Any student who learns more about science, language arts, or the humanities from me will be bearing a bit of my legacy. I hope to also teach tolerance and acceptance of others. I'd like to be seen as a good and charitable practitioner of my religious faith, but also as someone who is strong enough to point out error and injustice when I see it. In short, I hope that someone can honestly say of me that I was a good man.

A man's legacy exists in everything he has touched, every soul he has influenced, every decision he has made. Like an echo, everything he did lives on. The morality of humans is an illusion, for we all live on in echos, continuing our lives in those we touch on such an emotional level that they are changed forever. We are only what we leave behind, yet we all leave behind a great deal.
Therefore, my legacy will be everything I have ever done. Some of those actions may influence other person's actions, and my legacy will continue on carried by theirs.

I will gain a huge fortune, make a nice and bewildering treasure out of it, and I'll hide it really, really well, and spread lots of mysterious clues about it throughout the world. The treasure will be forever looked for, and never ever found. Looking for it will be thrilling and meaningful, yet won't be a subject of any religion. They'll make up endless stories about it, and endless presuppositions about what the treasure actually looks like. They'll even doubt that it exists (however, I promise you, it will exist). That will be my legacy.
...So it's all set; now, anyone wanna give me a hand with the "gaining a huge fortune" part of the plan?

No legacy for me, just play some decent music at my funeral cremate me and throw the ashes to the wind. Hopefully, my kids will have a few good memories and know they were loved. The rest of the world will make it just fine without me.

I was thinking about that myself the other day as I was reading some very interesting obit's. I bemoaned the fact to my daughter that I would not be able to figure anything out for mine because I haven't done anything great or special in my life. I just am. My daughter looked at me so sweetly and said, "Mom! You loved". It was so touching that it made me weep. Mmm

My kids. I hope that some of my records will help document bird and insect life in the state of Texas. And I know that my karaoke singing will be talked about for generations at Chachos in San Antonio, where I caused the limit on jumbo margaritas to be set at 2 per night.

Ecc 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; FOR THE MEMORY OF THEM IS FORGOTTEN.
Ecc 9:6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any [thing] that is done under the sun.
Any realist out there?
Stop deceiving yourselves people.

I've colored a LOT of comics, so my name will be in collections for decades to come, and my name is permanently recorded in the Eisner Award archives (the Oscars of the comic industry).
I also do a lot of lay ministry and teaching as a Wiccan, and the full moon worship group I facilitate will be formally dedicating itself next month, including an "inner court" which will be initiatory. So I'm on the ground floor in starting a new Tradition of Wicca which will hopefully be around for many, many years.
