This is the way God says to Love:
Beloved, let us love one another: For Love is of God: and every one that loveth is Born of God, and knows God. HE THAT LOVETH NOT KNOWETH NOT GOD; For GOD IS LOVE. I John 4: 7,8
You are His Child, and He will LOVE Thru You.

As you're a Christian and you chose that path you should know that God wants us to Love HIm FIRST above any other, but you must also love yourself very much, for being able to love others... those who underestimate themselves will NEVER be able to love anybody else, and that's a fact...
You should also learn how to accept and tolerate people surrounding you, just in the way they are, tolerance is the key for respecting others, and from this respect you will learn how to deal with them and love them no matter what defects they may have, remembering always that nobody is perfect and that includes you too....
I guess you should also read the Bible and learn and practice its teachings regarding to this matter, you can use Jesus's life as the most important guide of course, his actions were worthy of being imitated...read about Him constantly, The New Testament is the chief guide Christians have for guiding their lives through the right path, and the one that God wants them to follow...

"the way God wants me to?" What is the way you feel God wants you to Love? All the other answers are good and fine but they all lack your answer... since none of us know how "YOU think God want you to show love". So the real answer is more of a new question... How do YOU think God shows love? When you answer that one you will have your answer to your first question.

Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
Love doesn't strut,
Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on others,
Isn't always "me first,"
Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn't revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

You can learn to love the way God wants you 2 by treating people like people not like objects, especially girls, and by loving with all of your heart not just part of it...God just wants you to respect people and love people for who they are, not how they look, or what they're wearing that day...God wants you to give it your all in life.

Just learn to let go and let God ( as you understand him ) (whatever your faith is). be God. In other words Let your God run things and don't try to play God in your life.
You will automatically be brought into a way of living that includes the lovingness you wish to attain. You will also realize many more things than you have ever dreamed possible.
This is what the great teacher Jesus did and as he told you," What I have done you can do also, possibly even greater things".

first you have to know what love is. when God speaks of you being a loving person, that is translated from the Greek "agape": seeking the highest good for someone and continued encouragement in the Lord.
but if you want a definition, I suggest you go with 1 Corinthians 13:4-8:
love is patient, love is kind. it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. it is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. love never fails.
I believe if you can exhibit these traits to someone, you're showing perfect love.

God wants you to live the best life you are capable of living. And wants you to be the best person you can be.
Making the most of your life and feeling good about what you've done with your life when you're much older is a hint that you have lived it the way god wanted you to. :)

It is a process. You first have to give your life & heart totally over to Jesus Christ. Ask him to guide your steps daily. Get to a church that teaches the Bible from beginning to end the right way. I'm not going to tell you that it is easy, because the devil will get in people to test your salvation, but you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you & he will help you always if you seriously want him to.

Practice every day.
Love yourself enough not to kick yourself for yesterdays shortcomings, and start anew everyday.
Seek understanding of people you find difficult to love. With understanding they appear different. Service is a means to do this: Volunteer with or for a group you do not understand.
You can love people without loving all that they do or are, just for the reflection of God's love of them.
