I heard that and it gave me the chills. 50% of Christians claiming to be born again deny the existence of Satan. If you're Atheist this question doesn't apply to you. So do you believe or don't you? And if you do are you as scared as I am for those who don't? You are more open to his devices when you deny his existence.

This world is full of evidences that there is a spiritual world around us! Millions of millions of cases around the World!

You must be really ignorant if you say no!

Therefore God is Real!

That don't have religious freedom to read the bible? That's pretty screwed up if that's the case.

Do Atheists have a god too? Technically, I find it impossible for someone not to have a god. One definition of god according to Marriam-Webster is "a person or thing of supreme value." (If you want proof go to http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/god.) If a person does not worship a religious god, then he will worship another. If he does not exalt a religious god, then he will exalt something else.

Food, Pleasure, Entertainment, Self, etc, can all be gods too.

Tell me what you think... is there a way to serve nothing?

This applys to judaism and islam too. If god wanted you to be circumsized why didn't he just make you without a foreskin? so that's why i'm wondering why they chose to circumsize.

...from the school of Stoicism? Just wanted to hear your thoughts and please try to be a little open-minded in your answer (I am remaining unbiased in my opinion):

"Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."

Thanks!

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:”
“And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book”. ---- Rev 22:18-19

This is a severe warning to the Israelites to not change the revelations because the Bible is not guaranteed to be free from human corruption/changes.

If the Bible was to be protected from change by divine decree then this warning would not be needed.

That is why both the Old and New Testament and the Torah have gone through so many changes over the centuries and you can see the difference if you look at a 100 year old bible.

This doesn’t mean the Bible is not scripture…. It just means that not every word is guaranteed by God to be exactly what was revealed in the original form and therefore you cannot say it is the infalliable word of God.

I get the eerie feeeling from this section that athiests would actually crucify me if they could get away with it. Does this not remind you of what the pharisees did to Jesus? How scary it is that its still going on. I think the christians will win against the athiests in the end cause i am a very powerful Knight! So there

Christians should not act like they dont know these things......

It makes them look foolish, deceptive and uninterested in the truth.

An answer that cut and pasted this story got me thinking about it . This is called lying. It's bad OK?

http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/e/einstein-god.htm

I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own -- a God, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty. Neither can I believe that the individual survives the death of his body, although feeble souls harbor such thoughts through fear or ridiculous egotisms. [Albert Einstein, obituary in New York Times, 19 April 1955]

It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it.

so if noone was responsible for tempting satan and the sins he was guilty of, why do so many christians blame satan for tempting them at their moments of weakness? this doesn't make any sense.

I dont mean to be rude but I think perhaps the athiests are even more intelligent than the christians. This is hard for me to say cause i'm a christian and it galls me to say it but perhaps its true?

I have been told by followers of Islam, that they believe the Holy Bible has been changed? I would like to know the evidence that supports this theory. Also how can Islam call for their followers to "believe in the Holy books" yet insist that the Bible is not true. The statement that the Bible has been changed seems to go against Islam supposed belief in the Books. And how does Islam argue against the Dead Sea scrolls that were found in the 1950's in which original manuscripts of the Bible were found which confirmed the accuracy of the bible. Also the fact that there are still 5000 manuscripts of the Bible today, more than any English novel taught in school today in which for some there are only 1 or 2 manuscripts.

Or any other diety for that matter? Why must you all put these restrictions on beliefs? Can't I believe whatever I want to?? No I don't believe in either but in my last question everyone gave me a hard time for saying I wanted to go to heaven even though I don't believe in god. How is it anyone's right to say what I believe is wrong? Do you have facts to support your claim that I'm wrong? And don't quote scripture- I know the scripture- I want proof- like yo mama came back from the dead and said "hey baby, you need to believe in god to get in this place"

How else do you think we come across the quotes?

If Jesus says in a parable that represents himself as a king that orders his servants to kill those who would not have him as their ruler, is this or is this not Jesus saying to his followers "But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay [them] before me."

There are much better ways to say that those who don't follow will be lost, damned, sent to hell, whatever. He could have said that "those who did not follow his directions were cast out of his kingdom" or "those that did not submit were left at the gates of the kingdom with no hope of entry." Instead, Jesus says BRING THE NON-BELIEVERS BEFORE ME AND KILL THEM!

How is this view "taking the parable out of context"? I say, taking it any other way is taking it out of context. But I'd love to hear your opinions again.

I am 17 and it's almost one year since I have been in ex-gay ministries. I've prayed. My brothers and sisters in Christ have prayed and layed on hands. I have had aversion therapy which was painful. I have hit rock bottom! I am drained emotionally to the core. I feel pissed off sometimes and really hurt and violated by it all. Even though I am still a virgin, in my heart I know that I am not attracted to the opposite sex and I don't think I ever will be. Sometimes I REALLY want to just end it ALL. People, my family, my church are all expecting that I will be straight. My parents spent A LOT OF MONEY on me for this. I just might lie and say I am until I can think of what to do next. I am trying hard to hold on to my faith but it is VERY hard. I hear there are churches that accept people like me but I have to wait until I graduate college and move out. I know it's wrong to lie about being cured, but I cannot see what other option I have.
