so if noone was responsible for tempting satan and the sins he was guilty of, why do so many christians blame satan for tempting them at their moments of weakness? this doesn't make any sense.

Without causing any disbute, christianity is the one religion that makes jack all sense.
They say to protect others, and then say not to poke your nose in.
They say to forgive and forget, yet people are banned permanantly from churches for causing havok, and bad people go to hell! Thats not forgiving at all.
They say to love everyone, and everyone is equal, yet they say that Lucifer (satan) is a bad person?!?!
How does this make any sense?
How could this possibly be true?
I ask you all, how cna you be so gullible as to believe so much rubbish. People are smarter than that.
I'm an athiest and believe that i'm here because my parents made me.
I believe i'm in control of my own life, no-one plans it out for me.
If "God" had control over my life, how could i possibly write this??
If he was really there, wouldn't he stop me from discriminating against his religion?!

Satan was the instigator of all sin. No one "tempted" him. His sin was pride; he wanted God's job. However, he does go about today tempting as many humans as possible to sin. Since no one tempted Satan, and it was all his idea in the fist place, then it makes perfect sense for people to blame him for tempting them in their moments of weakness. In fact, I think that people should stop blaming God for all the bad things that happen, and put the blame squarely where it belongs - on Satan.

Answering this question for the umpteenth time seems to be fruitless when addressing someone who in all likelihood has no real interest in the answer to start with but I will reply for the
one person who may be here seeking truth.
All a person needs to remember to simplify this question is that God gave all created beings a free will. Free will admits the possibility of sin. God allowed this because He did not want a bunch of automatons running around Heaven speaking lots of words with mindless repetition. His desire was to have those who want to love and serve Him do it of their own choice.
Lucifer was a powerful angel who was stupid enough to think he could somehow overthrow God; the creation believing in his heart that he could overthrow the Creator! Considering how much time He spent in God's presence and how often He saw God in all His holiness and purity and power, proves beyond any doubt that he must have been the most ignorant being in the history of creation. The fact that he was able to get 1/3 of all the angels in Heaven to follow him shows his power of persuasion, and their stupidity as well. The fact that he has been able to delude millions of others on earth to hear and obey him is even further proof of his power and clearly shows their lack of spiritual perception and intelligence.
Now if that doesn't make sense, then I suggest that you pray real hard that God would make it clear to you before you die.
If that seems to be an offensive suggestion to you and you intend to follow the lies of Satan, then I suggest that you live to please yourself and get all the pleasure you can possibly get in this life because after you die and God sentences you for doubting His Holy Word you will never experience any pleasure for the unending years of eternity that are ahead. One thing that you might find a tidbit of solace in is that the devil will be enduring similar punishment, but far worse, as his crimes are the greatest of anyone in the universe.

In contrast, the Bible shows that humans often bear much of the blame for the badness they experience, whether at the hands of other humans or as a result of their own conduct. (Eccl. 8:9; Gal. 6:7) Yet, the Bible does not leave us ignorant of the existence and devices of the superhuman foe who has brought so much grief to mankind. It shows how we can get out from under his control.

The answer to your question lies in Scripture. In the book of Job, we see how Satan attacks us as individuals. In the temptations of Christ, we see how he is able to tempt everyone. Paul writes about seducing spirits. Peter says that Satan is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. God allows Satan to tempt us to test our faith in Him.

Guilt is coming from satan, conviction is coming from the Holy Spirit.
Satan tries to lure us, he tempts us...but we can put a full amour of God around us and no evil can penetrate. : )

Just like with every other group, they have to put a face on evil. The things Christianity asks of its followers are damn near humanly impossible, and as you can imagine, these people get angry when they repeatedly backslide. The preachers had to give them SOMEONE to blame, otherwise they might bust into the church with an assault rifle and some Molotov cocktails and start going to town on the congregation.

Satan and God DO exist but they will never walk the earth however much we pray for it happen. Instead they both use us/ our fellow human beings to manifest themselves. You already know this but you don't have to believe it.

Christians have got to blame someone for their short comings! Your right it does not make any sense! Its kinda like the Catholics going to confession and getting a clean slate, to go on sinning, over and over again! You know, blame Satan for causing them to sin , then getting the priest to clean the slate for them , so they can continue sining! It is all so stupid!! People need to start taking responsibility for their own actions!!!!!! People need to realize that they, and they alone are the masters of their own destiny NOT GOD OR SATAN!!!!!

When Lucifer rebelled against God did you know that around a third of the angels rebelled with Lucifer? Satan has always had an influece. . .Lucifer was led by his desires to be better than God. . .to be number one and he took followers with him.
Ephesians 2:1-3, “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air(Satan), the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.” (NIV).
Now in the king James Version, “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air(Satan), the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: among whom also we all had our conversation [conduct] in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.”
