I find myself asking the very same question every time I hear of deaths on the news. WHY OH WHY haven't people learned their lessons from ww1 and ww2?

Who says they're wrong? The earth has limited resources, and civilizations have been fighting one another to obtain those resources for thousands of years. Nothing wrong with that.
Moreover, bloodshed is sometimes required. For instance, let's say a megalomaniacal dictator has fought to win control of an entire continent, has suspended the rights and liberties of its inhabitants, and is to blame for the deaths of millions of people. Or let's say that one culture group has undertaken the political oppression, economic marginalization, and social destruction of another race of people. To sit back and do nothing - to fail to spill the blood of those responsible for such crimes against humanity - that is what is wrong.
The only thing I will agree with you on is that murder is wrong. By definition, it is wrong; to wilfully end someone's life with malice aforethought cannot be condoned no matter what system of morality one chooses to live by. But the others? Just another day in the human experience.

Evil has not been squelched and as long as evil exists with people who want to inflict damage on the innocent, there will continuously be bloodshed, murder and war. The end of it is not near enough for me.

Well, what a great question. Wars have been going on for about 4 or 5 thousands years now. Maybe longer.
Nothing will ever overcome the desire for power and control,
the cause of all wars.

people do learn however, as children we are told war is great in comics, cartoons etc. ( we all played war as kids) then as teens we are shown that the good guys never die and the bad guys always lose( movies, games etc) so when the government wants some people to go and fight the "bad guys" they have a demographic of willing volunteers

One reason only. A generation of people grow up distrusting their parents, who grew up thinking they 'knew better' as well. Those of us who remember the Vietnam War sound like fools to the voting crowd of today. Geo Bush knew very well what would happen-but did it anyway, knowing he would have 'support' because the majority of voters only know about Vietnam as a thing a bunch of 'old codgers' did in the 60's. They hate our music, our thinking and everything about us.
Welcome to the Desert-of the Real.

You would not even be able to ask this question unless many people shed blood and lost blood. Thus, this question is very arrogant. War must happen sometimes. What have you done for this country?
