I really thinks he breaking that barrier and reaching out to people because he doesn't focus on the rights and wrongs but focusing on believing and having faith. I think his quote of being a Victor not a Victim is the best and so true!!

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

That is BIBLE!

I live in scotland and my baby is due in the summer. We would like to have a service of thanksgiving or a blessing for our new arrival but do not want a Christening/Baptism as we would rather let the child choose this when he/she is old enough to make an informed decision. Neither myself or my husband are members of the church although I was Christened as a baby. Any help, advice or suggestions would be great.

... on behalf of myself (even though I have never spoken ill of you - but just in case) and on behalf of all self-righteous folks (all religions included) who claim that just because you don't beleive in God you don't have morals at all? I think that's BIGGEST lie ever invented!

Note: I know I'm not a spokeswoman and nobody appointed me to say this, but I just feel like it.

Peace :)

Throughout the Middle Ages, the existence of witches was a matter of fact for people of England. They sought out witches to predict the future, find lost items and cast benevolent spells; they also blamed witches for their misfortunes, such as the death of children or livestock, the destruction of crops, or the spread of unknown diseases. Witches were prosecuted in England for inflicting these types of personal misfortunes, or maleficium. In the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, witchcraft was usually only tried in ecclesiastical courts, since there were no secular laws against it. While witchcraft was always believed to involve interaction with some type of good or evil spirits, witchcraft was rarely tried in conjunction with all-out devil-worship, even in the churchcourts. (444) When the Witchcraft Acts of 1542-1547 and 1563-1604 madewitchcraft a secular offence, the severity of the punishment was determined only by the nature of the harm done, like any other criminal.

Do religious people ever question their beliefs? Do they ever wonder 'what if all I have been taught is untrue and God does not exist'?

There is NO physical evidence that a God ever existed. And before people start saying 'HE created the World' there is no DEFINITE proof it was HIM!

Surely people who exercise some autonomy in their thinking would come to the conclusion that there is no concrete proof of there having ever been a God.

My opinion....Religion was an ancient form of law.

I mean God is the biggest fairy tale of them all.

The now famous "peanut butter" video on You Tube starts out with that lady saying, "To say that the universe came into existence by chance is a fairy tale".

But to say that the universe was created by a magic invisible man who no one has ever seen, who lives for eternity in space heaven...that's not a fairy tale?

Come on people. Open your eyes. Throw off your fetters!

Divine Narcissism

This is my theory on Life and the Afterlife.

In the beginning there was God, but God isn't an old man with a beard
sitting on a cloud. God is energy, he is the initial force that
starts the chain of events of which the Universe came to be and how we
came to be. God more specifically is the ultimate state of consciousness,
this is the force i'm referring to. Consciousness is reality and at the
awakening of this first and all-powerful consciousness came with it
its own view of reality which is the Universe as we know and will come to know it.
Think of it this way. When you wake up after being unconscious, the world
greets your eyes. The world wasn't there waiting for you, because without
consciousness to view the world, there would be nothing to view, the world
around us would have no reason to exist if it had nothing to behold it, so
the awakening of consciousness and the existing world around us go hand in hand.
its a simutaneous act. This is how it is with birth, at a baby's birth, it opened
its eyes to the marvelous world around it, and without knowledge of whence it came
then there is no "from whence it came" it just has the very important sensation
fo always being, which is an aspect we attach to God. Every baby on Earth being
born is equivalent to the first infant of all being born. God in his infancy.
So any sentient being that holds within it consciousness holds within it a piece
of God, since Consciousness is God. Every child born is an extension of God. You
and me are extensions of God. We are not God's children, We are God. We are
manifestations of Him. There is no such thing as good and evil, these concepts
are just conflicting emotions of a still newborn God within us all.Think of it as
God's multiple personalitities dueling with eachother until a resolution
can be made. When a man molests a child, in essense God is deciding to molest
himself, this is likened to an act of Cosmic Masturbation. When a man murders
a man, this is likened to God inducing self injury on himself to see if this is the
way he should be, and the simple acknowledgement of both these acts
withing God's initial consciousness as being unsuitable to his own personal tastes
reflects back in each and every one of us as being distasteful and avoided.Behavior is acted out
to gain experience to gain a sense of itself. God, like all things we know,
was not born perfect. Evolution is a powerful theme and God is not limited to it. So
the inital consciousness of God awoke with a sense of always being, such as a infant's
birth and with it came the reality we know, but like an infant, God grows over time (time thats
wildly inconstant with our own sense of time as I will explain later) God adapts and evolves
to his final state. Which is achieved as a new idea of Heaven, in which ALL are welcome.
If we are all God then what sense does it make to punish ourselves? We can't hold ourselves
accountable for stealing from ourselves! Heaven is the combination of all the elements of which
consciousness pervades in the world it came to see at its awakening at a common center and peace.
This is hard to wrap your mind around at first, but just think of it this way. A good analogy I like to use
is the newborn. God like the newborn are initially born to consciousness without an awareness of always
being here, and God like the newborn makes its first reaction to this world, which in turn leads
to another reaction, which in turn leads to another reaction which determines the course of its life.
Just rewind that to the beginning of everything. God reacted to the world that was created from his
own consciousness with awareness of always being here and an equal awareness of this world being
his own creation, a gift he gave to himself and an equal awareness of how he should react the first time
which in turn led to the certainty of his next act and so on all the way until the newest baby is born
this process is duplicated. So first is the waking and the sensation of always being, with awareness of
what accompanies him which as always been, the babies limbs can be likened to the inital planets.
God is all these things but recognizes something within himself as does a baby, which is a drive to take
that first act which determines how it will live out the rest of its life, this is a personal form
of evoluton which is just as universally important to the aspect of God as his first awakening and awareness
of itself. This act to evolve is as natural to God's recognition of himself as a baby
seeing its own fingers for the first time. It doesn't question it. It recognizes it as part of himelf which
has always been. As the babies life progresses it realizes that these actions are leading it to an
eventual end. As God realizes. He realizes he is imperfect and at the same time realizes he is achieving
his perfect state. All the actions of man throughout history, has been nothing more than
God's own actions going towards an ultimate end. which is Heaven in our eyes. There are three
dimensions of Time in this theory. What we are living in right now is the earliest part of the existence
of the universe, the first stage of time in which God is still working out the kinks of what he wants
to become. That is why there is murder, rape, war, incest, bestiality. These acts are not "evil." Evil
is simply the sensation we feel towards these things which is God's universal sensation of feeling
dissatisfied of these routes of experience. These things are not meant to be within the third dimension
of time, but ARE meant to be within the first, which is where we're living now. We cannot have
perfection in the third realm, without inperfection in the first. In this sense, whether we like to admit it or not,
"evil" is necessary for the ultimate good in which we hope for. A murderer is just as essential as a saint.
A brothel is just as essential as a cathedral. The second realm of time is where we enter when we "die"
This is the moment in time in which God finally realizes what he wants to be for all eternity, this is likened to
a baby growing up into maturity, this is the Maturity of God and determines the course of the rest of its life.
All the shreds of his consciousness are all collected into a radiant ball of consciousness to reform all the elements
and purge the unnessessities and recreate ourselves all as aspects of God that are now perfect. This is a
very brief moment of time, which immediately transfers to the last and everlasting moment of time. The Afterlife.
In the Afterlife we return to the universe in which we lived within different dimensions that are existing within
the same realm of time. We are reborn in our original selves, our loved ones we lost within our time are reborn to us.
and we live on this planet in peace. A hive consciousness now exists, Where we are all aware of each others
motivations and thoughts and are at peace with it all. This is the perfect consciousness transfered throughout
the extensions of God. Humans and animal kind alike. I will go into more detail about all this later, and there are a great many
kinks to work out. But this is what I truly believe.
