Why is the pope called "Our Lord God the Pope?"
Also: "Holy Father" and "God?"
Isn't this Blasphemy? And, don't say that he isn't called this, because he is called such in the Roman Canon Law, also called so by Father A. Pereira, and also by Pope Nicholas I.
It isn't denied by either the Pope or the Catholic Church itself, and is disturbing to say the least.
BTW: "Holy Father" is used only ONCE in the ENTIRE BIBLE, and that is in John 17:11 when Jesus was praying to God the Father and He said:
"And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are."
Don't you think this is blasphemous? How can you reconcile this?
