The true defination and simple meaning of Christians is:

A person who professes belief/follow in the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Paxico: Jesus never taught the Trinity during his ministry on earth nor' did he ever claimed to be God or equal to God.

What did he taught his disciples while on Earth?
you can read in your own copy of the bible.

Matthew 28: 19, 20 "Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, TEACHING them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things."

Matthew 24: 14 "....this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come"

Jehovah's Witnesses, whom you insist is a cult are following these very teachings and instruction from Jesus Christ himself.

a real Christian is one that follows basically the training of the Holy Scriptures. they don't idolize a circulate which symbolized the death of Christ. they don't adhere to the trinity doctrine because of fact there grew to become into no mentions of such till the Nicene Creed. They pontificate Bible fact the way Jesus did. actual Christians do not worship in great Cathedrals, yet fairly small, clever structures. they create themselves in a meek, ethical, upright way, and are no area of the sins of this technique of issues. actual Christians serve God with their finished coronary heart and their finished soul. the only ones which could declare this are the Jehovah's Witnesses!

There is a big difference in religion and a true christian. religions come up with all kinds of crazy rules like you can't drink, you have to dress up and wear hats, women can't wear dresses, women have to cover up head to toe, women gotta sit in the back part of the church [ gee i'm noticing a theme here, hehe} Can't go to movies, don't drink coffee [ what's with that one ] When did Jesus ever say some crazy stuff like that. in fact He basicaly said " you guys are screwing up everything my Father told you" You know what they still do. Christians believe in Christ and His teachings not all that other stupid crap. [ oh my, i said crap, hehe ] What Christ taught. Confess you are a sinner, which i'm pretty sure should be evident to all of us. Ask for forgiveness and believe that what I have done applies to you personally. That's the sticking point. sure everyone knows He died to absolve us of our sins, but how many take that one personally?

The basic beliefs of the Christian faith are found within the Nicene Creed. Any group that disavows one or more of these essential elements has drifted into apostacy.

"We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic [note: this is NOT the Roman Catholic Church] and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen."

First of all you have to quit learning through gossip and Al Sharpton on Fox news. Christians and religion are 2 different things. Religion is of man, Faith is of God. God is not a religion. Sects and divisions and so on are non existent in the truth. The truth is the truth no matter how Narcissistic one is........Pray.

Christianity in its essence believes that Christ was the son of God, was divine and rose from death. Many many religions believe that Jesus was a prophet but not a messiah including Jews and I believe Islam? I could be completly wrong in the latter.

Basically, a Christian believes that Jesus was both God and man and died for our sins.

Christians also believe in the Trinity.

That's why sects like Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons are not Christians by definition.

A Christian religion is one described in the Bible where it says, they were called Christians.

Our assembly has this creed:

The Bible is our rule of faith. And what I will say is borrowed from an identical assembly of the same faith.

We are a friendly church were fellowship is based on God, His word, and his people.
