The Bible is true and the word of God, Harry Potter is just a story made up by a human, o i'd say that the Bible is more interesting.

I can see why you would say that, but you plainly haven't found the interesting parts of the Bible. Check out Judah's daughter in law in Genesis, the torture scene in 2 Maccabees... Actually, most of Genesis is pretty cool, and most of Exodus. And for some hot (relatively) action, read the Song of Songs--I always wondered how that got put in the Bible. God's love for His chosen people, my foot! My instructor in college said the the Book of Daniel is really a short novel. Esther & Judith are good reads, too, esp once you get past the dream at the beginning of Esther.
Basically, the roots of all sins are in the Bible, and that can certainly be hot reading! (If we're just talking about generic interesting reading...) But avoid for now Leviticus, Numbers, all the begats. You can turn to them later.
And if you pick up any messages about God's love along the way, that's great.

ok. i'm a catholic but not devout, but a im a devout potter maniac and forever will be so go figure.
rather weird to pit harry against the bible. they are in two completely different genres, tell different stories, have different purposes.
but definitely, harry potter is way more interesting. :)

hahaha! I thought you were going to go off on some tangent about HP being evil/thedevil/ya know. But yes, the Bible is kind of dry reading. With Harry Potter you get magic, evil villain overlords, and some snogging thrown in at random ; ).

I hate Harry Potter, the bible is a good fiction book with some great fairy tales.

The Bible is better written.
On the other hand, it's had quite a bit more editing.
