Luke 23.44 It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, while the sun's light failed; and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. ****THEN*** Jesus, criying with a loud voice, said, "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit." Having said this, he breathed his last.

Matt27.50 Then Jesus cried again with a loud voice and breathed his last. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn is two, from top to bottom.

From Luke is is clear curtain was torn THEN Jesus died. From Matt it's the oppsite (or close to it) it happened at the same time.

This proves that the bible isn't prefect...so what should we believe and what shouldn't we?

This isn't a small event either...this is one of the biggest most important moments in the bible.

Why don't other religion preach the good news of God's Kingdom? Jesus gave us the commandment to preach right?

Would you repent of your sins and accept the Sacrifice of Christ on the Cross. In addition, you will receive eternal salvation!

Would you do it! You have nothing to lose!

We do not know what's gonna happen tomorrow you still have time to decide today!

Remember "Thou shalt not kill"? I don't remember an exception in the Bible to this rule. In fact, I vividly recall "turn the other cheek" which, by my interpretation, means we should sit back while terrorists detroy us, and then we can ascend into heaven. That's the goal, anyway - right? Life on earth is temporary and imperfect, so why risk not getting into heaven over defending a country?

I know there are screened partitions that the priest in the middle can open and close, but it seems like that wouldn't be enough. Why were they built with 2 sides in the first place? Were THAT many people going to confession that the Church felt it couldn't waste even a few seconds between confessions?
Please let me also know where you got your information for your answer.

There have been many historical records of people changing the Bible, for instance. There are also many different versions of the Bible. When a holy book (not just for Christianity) is translated, isn't some of the meaning lost? And even if you read a holy book in its original language, how do you know that what it says is what God says? How can you have faith when there is no proof? Is evidence-free faith not the same as being in a cult?

you don't feel ready to do right now but it's hard to tell them no because they will suspect that there is a sinful reason why you won't. For example, my church and family are trying to push me to minister and have set me a date to preach...but I have been going through something and have been for a year now that I don't feel I am ready to minister to anyone right now about anything. I am at a breaking point in my life...I have no one that really can trully understand my situation without seeing it from a black and white point of view....it is not that simple...there are very strong emotions involved that I cannot just ignore or break on my own. For that matter I don't want to break them...I just want time to sort through my issues...time to decide what I want for myself without the influence of everyone elses opinion b/c it doesn't matter....I feel the way I do and I just need a lot of time to deal with every problem going on in my life right now.

that when someone asked for a book that would be a good introduction to each person's religion, I get so many thumbs down with my answer? I simply said "Our Troth" by Kveldulf Gundarsson. Hardly anything to get snarly about, is it? Or do that many people disagree with my choice of books? Which book do they recommend as a good primer on Asatru? Please don't tell me it is simply my choice of religion! That is a personal choice. Surely all those loving Kristjans out there can appreciate that, right? Honestly, I don't understand the thought processes involved here...
