Why don't other religion preach the good news of God's Kingdom? Jesus gave us the commandment to preach right?

For all those who said that the command to preach doesn't mean door-to-door:

Act 20:20,21 "while I did not hold back from telling YOU any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching YOU publicly and from house to house. But I thoroughly bore witness both to Jews and to Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus."

The early Christians set the example for us. They preached from house to house, in the markets, wherever the people were.

Sharing a Bible message isn't forcing our beliefs on anyone. It's so that people can make a choice. That's all.

But this work would be impossible to accomplish without Jehovah's holy spirit. Perhaps that is why other religions aren't preaching the good news?

What an interesting set of answers you've had from this question. It seems that most people don't take seriously the command that Jesus gave to preach in Matthew 28:19,20. I've checked a few translations and the command to preach is there in all the Bibles I've looked at. I also checked Acts 1:8 and the 8 translations I looked at, Jesus tells his disciples that they will be witnesses of him.
So should we put people's right to a quiet life first, should we ignore that command and stop preaching because life is different now? No, how can we? What would the apostles have done?
The apostles were ordered to stop preaching by the Jewish leaders (Acts 5:40), that order was accompanied by flogging, so did they stop? No, every day and FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE they kept on preaching without letup. (Acts 5:42)
The command to preach is scriptural so even when governments ban preaching, witnesses will keep on.
I've been preaching from door to door for 30 years and in that time I've never met anyone from another religion preaching. In fact, people know who it is before we walk up the path, because its an identifying mark of Jehovah's Witnesses. Several people have mentioned to me that they know that their religion should do the same thing, they know that they should preach. They say that they can't do it because they don't know how, they don't know exactly what to say and it's too hard. Jehovah's Witnesses are blessed by being trained as preachers and teachers through a school (Theocratic Ministry School) which is held in every congregation each week. We are organised and we take our responsibility to preach seriously, and Jehovah blesses our work (Isaiah 60:22)

We all have had that experience at some point. In my sarcastic mind there is a lot humorous with the situation. Your mild replies to his growing rage is precious. That his lies did not cause you to say how pious he was hurt. The biggest laugh is while he used his Bible as a stage prop, you knew what was inside it thoroughly. Now I am just being sarcastic and I know not to be realistically. I have had some preachers come to my door. None have any idea what Jesus' command of a witness work is. None even brought a Bible with them. Mostly they just invited me to their churches. A couple gave a tract. None had any biblical insight. When we go to a door, we have a purpose of sharing with each person some insight from the Bible. We carry a Bible and know how to use it. (Sarcastic again, sorry.) We are prepared to answer peoples' questions about the Bible as true Christians should always be ready.

1. They (mostly) do not even know what the Kingdom of God is.

2. Most of them have the mistaken idea that sharing a Scriptural thought with someone is "forcing your religion down their throats."

3. This work ccan only be done successfully in the power of Jehovah's holy spirit.

By the way, this house-to-house ministry was initiated by Jesus. Matthew 10:12-15 says: "When you are entering into the house, greet the household; and if the house is deserving, let the peace you wish it come upon it; but if it is not deserving, let the peace from you return upon you. Wherever anyone does not take you in or listen to your words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off your feet."

This work was also done by the early Christians according to Acts 5:42 and 20:20.

I think it was more along the lines of sharing the good news with others...which could mean going to church, talking to others who want to discuss it, answering questions on here, writing, singing, being a good example for others, etc.

I don't think that all of us should go door to door preaching...and if you do, then you have to expect to have it slammed in your face...or at least on your toe. Do you really think that is converting anyone to YOUR cause?

Other religions do preach the gospel but they also respect a person's privacy and right to worship as they please. I do not appreciate being preached to from street corners or door to door. You mean well, and I respect your beliefs, but don't come to my door please and try to sell me on how you believe. I know how I believe, and I am quite happy with it. My neighbor was bothered so much by the Jehovah Witnesses that she had a harassment order put out against them. They know enough not to come to her door anymore.

That's so true!
You need to have Jehovah's holy spirit to do so. Yes, it's a commandment for Christians.

Did Jesus knock on doors, telling people who he is? I'm not mocking you, I am a Christian as well! Jesus didn't go from town to town telling people "I am the Messiah, Follow me." People came to him with questions and an open heart.

Why doesn't the Yellow Pages knock on our door too and start reading all the products available. Think how much THAT would add to people's awareness -
