i didnt mean it as an insult or trying to put blame on one or the other and i was just trying to see most peoples opinions of the matter and actually most events in the bible are true.we can take the flood as truth because most religous books tell of a flood that wiped out most of the population.

The story of Adam and Eve comes from pastoral herders who felt that the rise of an agricultural based culture was evil. Eve ate from the tree of knowledge, acquiring the knowledge of how to domesticate plants. This was an affront to god. Read the Bible--what was Cain's gift that so offended god? Food from domesticated plants.

As far as the historical implications of creation myths, it is a tale with powerful anthropological symbolism.

Well apparently Eve was beguiled by Satan which means the full brunt of the sin comes down the mans line. That's why Sin comes down the mans line and not the woman's which explains why Jesus had no sin. His father is God. Mind you that doesn't mean women don't have sin it just means that they get the sin bug from Dad.

Eve was fooled and Adam knew exactly what he was doing. Blokes see!!!!!>>>>bit anti men just now lol

mmm... i do not think it was more of eves fault. Eve bit into the forbiddon fruit and then Adam did. We are all held accountable for what we do not what others do. In my english class we have peer review where we have to look over another students paper before they turn it in. If i said i liked the paper and they got a D on it im not accountable because they are the once who make the final decision on it.

The Tree of Knowledge... Remember it was one of 2 trees, the other was the Tree of Life.

According to the fairy story, the humans, having realised that they were mortal, were driven out of the garden to stop them turning around and eating the second tree's fruit and becoming gods.

As to blame, it doesn't matter to me, I am one of the Other People (those from Nod amongst who Adam's sons found wives).

Satan tricked Eve into eating the fruit, but Adam was not tricked. He ate it willfully, knowing that it was wrong...so that makes him more guilty than Eve.

You have to look for the meaning not the exact details to learn. It is not about apples or who is to blame for sin. We are each to blame, we each make the choice to do wrong.

The meaning to me is that when (a) man becomes aware of decisions of right/wrong and knowingly chooses against the will of God separation results.

HI. Now this is just my opinion, not a fact. From what I read &I have been studying the Bible for 30 yrs now,Adam was first I am sure that God told him the "rules" first & eve knew second. It all has to do with the "matter of trust". Adam &Eve made a choice.Adam choose to "trust"his wife, instead of God.Eve choose to "trust"what the serpant said. Are u following me so far on this. Also God gave humans this wonderfulf gift called "free choice". Humans know & do this all the time .We "trust".We "choose". We do all sorts of things in life, but these 2 issues are very important in what we do with &to &for our lives in all that we do.I hope you find this answer both helpful & intresting to you.As for the person who said that it was God because he lied to them, well 1st that's their oppinion.God acted as all parents do(cause that's what he was &is our first father)He wanted to see what they would do.I don't think God knew what they would do,&If he did ,I say again,I think he wanted to see what they would do.They both made the choice.Saddly for them (&man kind)they did not have eternal life.I suggest that if you do believe in God that you sit down, open your Bible &read &study for yourself. If you don't believe,&just wanted to know"opinions",well that is mine.

The story of Adam and Eve is a myth. The Bible is made up of many different types of literature. Myths and parables are two examples. As a good Christian, you need to be able to tell the myths from the true stories. I suggest a good course in how the Bible was written and for whom and why.

because God gave the order to Adam originally. He was more accountable. Not more wrong. they were both disobedient. But he heard directly from God concerning the tree. not to mention that Adam is a man. Man was given the "head of household" title.
