wow, then lets not vote for anyone with a religion, eh?
I mean why vote for Kennidy if he was going to get his instructions from the Vatican?
Mormon are just like any other human being.
They are even Christian!!! We believe in Jesus Christ, and God, and the Holy Spirit.
Almost any religion has a "path to salvation".
Not Voting for someone because of his/her religion is wrong.
We should vote for them because we believe they will do a good job in office and be able to successfully lead.

How does this have to do with the Presidency? Questions like this evidence the lack of progression of some people in our country and the lack of respect for those of different backgrounds or beliefs. I could care less if a person running for President was Hindu, Christian, Muslim, Mormon, Buddhist, etc. If they are man or morals, whose agenda is close to mine, and who I believe cares for the future of our Country, then I will vote for that man. It's a shame bigotry still exists.

And, of course, electing a Mormon for president, he is going to force everyone to believe this, right?
Just like Kennedy forced everyone to recognize the authority of the Pope?
Get real!!

Regardless of whom anyone chooses to vote for, and what religion you believe in or choose not to believe in; you need to get your facts straight before trying to make people stand behind you on the Internet.
All religions have their own value systems and beliefs, and we have the ability to believe the way that we choose because of our freedoms in the United States, which are being defended every day by citizens of all faiths and backgrounds including Mormons.
I am Christian, and may believe differently than you, or even the Mormon faith, but I will not cut down others for the way they choose to believe.
I am sure that whatever you believe in has it's own methods of indoctrination and connecting your religion to others to make itself look to be the best choice in order to uplift itself.
That is the way of the world, and the way of religion and belief in the world.
Have you ever heard of the separation of Church and State? That is an important factor and we need to make our voting choices based on the whole person and what they can offer to our country in the future; regardless of race, gender or religious background.

Mr. Romney has more problems than he knows about. Almost every evangelist has damned Mormonism in religious tracts and books. It strays far from conventional Christianity and the religious right will not back him even if he preaches "family values."
I have a brother in law that is Mormon as is his wife and all his children. His mother lives with me. I live with 30 miles of him and his son. They shop at a huge shopping center only two miles from the house, but never, and I mean never, will they stop and see his mother. There is this Mormon hymn "When there is love at home," and they don't pay much attention to that at all.

Did God not created Lucifer and all the host of the earth.
the point about this was it not state that Jesus had brother and sister."While he was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, asking to speak to
him" (Matt. 12:46).
"Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon, and are not his sisters here with us?" (Mark 6:3).
"For even his brothers did not believe in him" (John 7:5).
"All these with one accord devoted themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers" (Acts 1:14).
The above statement is often used by anti-Mormon detractors in an effort to make the LDS Church appear to be a non-Christian sect or cult. But it serves to highlight a significant difference between Bible doctrine and the views of "orthodox Christians."
We see in Luke 3:38 that Adam is a son of God. It is only logical that we, who are descended from him, are members of the same family. The author of Hebrews affirms the brotherhood of all men by stating that we are to be "in subjection unto the Father of Spirits" (Heb. 12:9, see Num. 16:22). The book of I John gives account of our relationship to the Father: "Beloved, now are we the sons of God" (1 John 3:2). Paul speaks of "one God and Father of all (Eph. 4:6).
We learn from the book of Job that "there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them" (Job 1:6). Job makes it clear that as one of the Sons of God, Satan was recognized by the Lord in their presence (Job 1:7- 12,2:1-6). He fell from his heavenly abode, (Luke 10:18, Rev. 12:7-9, Isa. 14:12-14), but that does not negate that he was once a literal "spirit" offspring or child of God. These scriptures clearly show that all of us are offspring of God, our Heavenly Father--including those children who rebelled and followed Satan.

The unofficial church position on the Romney is that they will feel justified and vindicated from CULT status. Plus, the churches general authorities will feel they have better access to the top man in government for waterever agenda they have: Abolition of gays, blacks, anti-polygamy laws, free speech, and abortion. They'll make Bush look like a right wing revolutionist.

No Christian faith is ever going to profess that Jesus is the brother of Lucifer AND claim to know what they're talking about at the same time.
